  • How do you get 158 QFF points?

    • everyday reward card (linked with free QFF)

    • I'm guessing this:
      Cost of item = $188, -$30 initial spend (no points) = $158, 1pt per dollar => 158 points.

      No points on shipping.

But I take it you mean that you only get as many points as you spend, so the actual QFF amount should be 134(???), right?

  • Rise of the Lycans, Angels & Demons and Casino Royale are good :) The whole bundle seems alright too.

I wouldn't call any of theose movies 'good', but they're not awful

      • +2

good to see you living up to your screen name :)

A + for the new term "stacking the deal".

    • Stacking the deal well and truely would be a staff discount added on top! ;)

  • +5

Hmmm, add something costing $5 into the transaction, and then use the $20 code?

    So $188+$7+5=$200
    $20 off, $180
    10% off, $162

    would that work :O

    • I believe you will need to add something that brings the total BEFORE shipping to $200.

Multiple good reviews online, but remember that this player needs an extra dongle to be WiFi ready… it's not WiFi out of the box. Also, not a 3d player, and doesnt have a connection/dock for ipod (which some other models do), but for the price and included bundle its pretty hard to beat.
Alternatively, you can get the above player shipped (on its own no bundle), for $165 from this mob…. http://www.videopro.com.au/p-1551-sony-bdps370-blu-ray-playe…

But again, value for money wise the bundle deal is still better. Thanks for posting + vote.
Sorry for the long post, but I'm in the market for a BluRay player so have been doing a lot of digging of late.

    • I think it's got to be a sony dongle too unfortunately….. which aren't cheap

      heh you said dongle.

If anyone's interested in just getting the player (and nothing else). It's available for $138 from the Sony Clearance Center at DFO Brisbane Airport.

  • Men In Black = best movie out of the 6.

Great unit, you can use it to access catch up tv, like abc iview.

    • NOTE: Accessing Iview on the Sony blu-ray player is not free. Even if your ISP provides this quota free.

      • Hmm, it looks to me as though it is $free to access. It will however count towards your quota even if you get web-based iView quota-free. source

        • thats what I meant free to access but not quota free if your ISP provides it quota free to there users.

i think i prefer the sanity deal - for an extra 20 you get to choose the movies

  • Great BR Disk player ! You can even use ur iPhone to control it with the sony app..

  • Excellent, thanks, just ordered this for my dad's birthday! Bumped it over $200 to get the Big W $20 off as well!

  • PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS DOES NOT CONTAIN WIFI CAPABILITY. YOU HAVE TO PURCHASE A SEPARATE DONGLE WHICH IS $99 RETAIL. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

    • note: if your TV has LAN, better to buy another router and put into bridge mode. Can get some really cheap ones if you check whirlpool forums or OCAU

Grabbed one of these tonight. Perfect timing too, I was on the lookout for a great player at a great price. I love this site :-D

  • I've selected Paypal as my payment method, however I still paid $190.00 for it? Do I get credited back eventually?

    • It's a cash back so its not done at time of checkout.

      From the T&Cs:
Cashback will be processed prior to 30/4/2011. An email will be sent to your designated PayPal email address when the cashback has been credited to your PayPal account.

  • Bought one a few minutes ago before the two deals expired :)

Got the Blueray with free delivery and a book ($20) so it bumped it over the $200 mark.
All up was $169.00 pretty happy, cheers to the OP and the OP of the other threads.

  • Now they've got free postage - bastards! Should've waited a couple of days :-(
