Think i'll avoid LG TVs in the future, no development, they just loose features over time… unless it has an Android OS, no thanks.
our TV started off with skype, you tube, all these extra content, and its been slowly peeling away as LG doesnt support the TV any more… I mean we've had it for quite a few years now, but there is nothing wrong with the TV, shouldn't be forced to upgrade though lack of support… yes I will need to buy a separate TV box in the future to regain the smart functionality i originally bought this TV for…

the whole smart tv thing was a con from the start, dont buy or rely on them for it. waste of time.
Buy a Shield TV for $170-ish on special and be done with it.
I wish reputed TV makers at least made a few models WITHOUT the Smart capability and just focused on making quality displays. When I get a smart TV, I know I wont be using the Tv's own smarts at all. I will be using my Android TV Box for that purpose.
The only reason I would buy a smart TV is because every damn 4k TV from a reputed brand out there is "Smart". I am basically forced to buy that useless (to me) feature.
or at least with CEC only… (just a shame android doesn't support it out of the box well like the raspberry pi can.)
