      Thanks heaps, am due a service, and it doesn't seem any worse than Kmart or Ultra Tune. Saved myself a trip to Autobarn for a bucket, and you're basically getting a trip from Mel-Syd for free with the service.

        It really isn't worth it.. They charge more than $50-$100 compared to other providers.. You're better off going elsewhere as points aren't worth it

    I think trick with WIlson is obviously to book for today etc. they prob won't pay out on points say for a January date.

          Unfortunately no it won’t. You need to swipe the velocity card to get the points from BP, before using the card again (tap or insert) for the payment.

          Simply swipe your Velocity Global Wallet® card before you pay in-store at a participating BP Service Station. In order to use your Velocity Global Wallet® card as a form of payment and earn Points you must ensure you first swipe the Velocity Frequent Flyer side of your dual sided card to earn Points with BP, and then insert or Pay Wave the Global Wallet® side of your card to earn Points per dollar spent.

      Yes, I ordered on 20th, got email confirmation to pick up on 23rd, and picked up yesterday, but no velocity informaion on the order and receipt. Ended up to buy a cleaning cloth in store.

    Another option for people frustrated with Autobarn is to use Sendle to send a parcel to your neighbour for $6 or so

    Sorry noob question. Just got my velocity card. So do I need to carry this everywhere and scan it at every purchase? Can this be saved on your phone or automatically linked to a credit card?

      You can save it on your phone but that's not going to be of much use at BP as they need you to swipe a card and no, you can't automatically link it to a credit card either. You can get a Velocity Escape or Velocity Platinum Amex which will allow you to earn points towards your Velocity account, but you'd still need to carry the card with you at BP

          Yep that's what I did for BP. However, still doesn't change the fact you need to physically carry the card around all the time. A bit of an annoying feature.

          Mine has a barcode at the back (it starts with 9) but I don't know what the purpose of it is as in the two years I've been with Velocity, I've never used the barcode; it's always a swipe at BP

      You can get points for the same purchase on both eBay and flybuys. If your purchase qualified for Velocity, you would receive an e-mail from the eStore

    I've got BP fuel and a flybuys transfer , points have been credited to my Velocity account. No record of the $2 bucket from Autobarn (should there be?) , or $10 Starlight donation on Velocity estore.
    Just received Virgin wines though paid some days ago. No record.

    Is everyone else the same?
    What number to call when the times comes to query this.

    Why are some worrying about the points crediting to the account before 8 Jan 2019? The terms say “you must earn“ so my reading is that you have to shop by 8 Jan and still be eligible. Have I missed something?

    Bought using the eBay link on tbevelocoth E store and made a donation to starlight through the velocity E store…..
    Nothing is getting logged at all.

      How long ago did you do those purchases? Usually get a qualifying e-mail within a few days. My DJs ones come the next business day after I've made the qualifying purchase

      *iTunes transactions will not appear as ‘Pending’ in 1 working day, iTunes transactions will appear only once approved and this will be around 14 working days from your transaction date. For onsport.com.au, Points will not display in your eStore Account. Please refer to your Velocity Account to view these transactions. For these retailers, you will be reminded before shopping to add your Velocity membership number at check-out to earn your Points. Please refer to your Velocity Account Page to view these transactions. Ebay purchases in some circumstances may take 7-10 business days to appear as ‘Pending’.

      I'm going to wait for my eBay transaction to appear, I made it 5 days ago, so will wait before contacting them.

      I spoke to someone on the phone at Velocity who said donations won't count towards the promotion but he didn't put that in writing so i'm not sure how true it is. I made a donation on around the 18th i think and didn't see any email. I made another purchase on the 25th after I was told donations won't count, and just received my notification email now 5 days later. Still nothing for Starlight donation.

      Just ask for a replacement. Should arrive in a week or two, and you have another six weeks to make the purchase.

      Yes you can get a temp card. Our velocity cards are so old they won't scan at BP. So I have ordered new ones, and in the mean time have just used the temp BP cards, bought 1 Litre of petrol, and have linked those, and have already received the points, so it works fine.

    Just spoke to an Autobarn employee at Virginia who showed me that my Velocity details had come across and were on the reciept but said that she didn't think i would get the points until she had 'completed' the order in the system as i had now completed my click and collect order. Perhaps this is what is holding things up for some of you who aren't intending on picking up your orders. Maybe you could call and check your details are in the system and just say you aren't picking the order up but can they complete your order?

      I picked up my Autobarn order with the receipt showing my Velocity membership number. That was almost 10 days ago and nothing is showing so far.

      BP, Flybuys and Wilson parking points appeared immediately (maximum wait was 72 hours) but everything else is taking forever now.

    It may take up to 30 days from the day of purchase for the points to be transferred to your Velocity account.

    So looks like you guys will be waiting a while.

      I made my Autobarn purchase in store a couple of hours ago. Got my card swiped and got my receipt. The receipt mentioned how many Velocity Points I earned and that it may take up to 30 days for the points to show up. This now means I have made transactions with 5 partners. Woohoo!

            @nightelves: Went to the store to return the item and to repurchase. Salesperson said there will be no Velocity record on the receipt as machine hasn't been reading velocity cards for about a week…
            Got a refund instead.

            To save someone time and pain, the store you shouldn't bother with for now is Autobarn Moorabbin Vic.

    I must admit that the process has been so frustrating so far I think I'll stick with cashrewards and Qantas mall past this promotion!
    Ebay purchases don't seem to track, Starlight donation just froze after payment, Autobarn transactions don't show anywhere and no velocity details show on my email receipts, Wilson carpark hasn't posted for over a month. The only thing that seems to work well is BP!
    Great promotion to highlight how poorly those partnerships work…
