i have no idea on when my current battery will run out, so why should i buy this and risk losing my money in 6 months…

Good for people with that watch in their drawer that hasn't been running for ages.

If you haven't gotten your battery changed for a while, then you can buy it and keep it … 6 months is a long time… in fact that's around 15768000 second ticks on your watch.

      :)

    • You could give it to someone else? You know what they say… There's no time like the present, and there's no present like the time.

Okay, yeah, fair enough - I agree with you. I wouldn't buy it either…

  • I think i'd use this service on something like a Tag Heuer not on something like a Casio

    • I doubt they'd service a Tag Heuer, a proper service is around $300 in Melb…

      • The owner of the business - Dennis Coleman has had 40 years experience. He certainly does brands like Tag Heuer.

        • LOL at 40 years experience changing watch batteries :-D

        • He certainly does brands like Tag Heuer.

so he will service my Tag Heuer chrono for $30 then ???

  • Jv: is it a chronograph? Remember $30 is an exclusive once-off price he is offering through Crowdmass.

    • yes, i just saw the T&C's…. that's why i doubt he would it for $30…

every place i've asked send it to South Melb and it costs $300 for a regular service…

My Armani watch went out of battery last year. I used a little paper clip, opened the back of watch, took the battery out, found the model number, went on eBay, purchased 5-pack battery for $5 including postage. Done the job in 5 minutes, and ended up with 4 spare batteries. So basically cost me $1 and 5 minutes of my time.

If i went to a watch repairer, it would cost me $20+ and 1 or 2 hrs of my time.

  • i only wear automatics

  • my main watch is a citizen ecodrive, all the accuracy of a digital with the self powered advantage of the automatic!
