Hope she doesn't clean your bank account…
Now that's done you're ready to start planning for your next wife.
…so basically 20 x sponges? hmm.
im trying to get excited…might have a coffee and see if that helps.I have tried a similar product from Japan. Way better than regular sponges. Didn't even need to use water to clean surfaces like kitchen bench top, cabinet doors etc.
ok ….i'll take your word for it homer :)
…good for stainless steel surfaces such as cooktop, fridge etc? do they leave any fine scratches etc?I have used it on the rangehood which has top of steel. No scratches when I cleaned it.
@[Deactivated]: ok…sold. you got me..magical sponges ordered.
@franco cozzo: Housemate bought these, I was dubious but they do work. Wouldn't pay Aussie retail prices though, not in a million years
If these are anything like the genuine Chux ones then they are slightly abrasive which mean that you need to be careful to not overdo the rubbing.
However, they are awesome. Used some once to remove a lot of mould/mildew from inside a boat once and it came out sparkling.
@Devil: having purchased similar sponges before, they are the same material so they are abrasive
however chux brand are far more dense. these will crumble after a couple of uses
homer, but yours are made in Japan, these are made in China right? Must be totally different quality ;)
:)
Way better than regular sponges.
How about shower screens water strain? The most difficult thing to clean.
Let me see if I can upload before and after photos of my shower screen.
@[Deactivated]: Thanks
@[Deactivated]: …damn. you really needed to buy these homer! ;)
@[Deactivated]: …you could eat off that…if it wasnt a vertical surface.
@[Deactivated]: Both before and After can't see through the shower glass?
@superforever: The after is the shower floor through the glass.
@[Deactivated]: OK can't see if it is clear or not without object behind XD.
@superforever: Alright. Will try taking pictures some time later today. The object behind was supposed to be the floor. Visible after cleaning the glass.
@franco cozzo: Just been a bit lazy lately… Usually, it is not that bad ;)
Who's got time to clean the shower with a erasor?? Vinegar and plastic (blue) scratchy pad
They also sell these at Daiso.
Still waiting for Daiso to pop up here in Canberra.
Once again I find myself spinning the Zapals Wheel-of-Delivery!
Bought a 100 of these for $4.50 a few years back. They suck up oil great, though will tear if surface that you're cleaning isn't smooth. One time use each sponge.
…so a bit abrasive yeh?
Think of it as a bedroom pillow that sucks up oil but will rip apart if you run it over a raised nail. But yeah a very fine abrasiveness
They don't feel abrasive, more like grippy rubber.
But do apparently have a fine cut/polish effect.Micro-abrasive.

Order Total Incl. Tax A$1.19
Order Total Excl. Tax A$1.08If these things are anything like the magicsponge branded ones from Coles then I highly recommend. These aren't so much for dishes as they are for scrubbing. They work on white sneakers, stainless steal sinks, bathroom tiles, etc. My friend who's a cleaner swears by these things.
Can get these on ebay cheap all the time. That said they are quite useful but you need to be careful how you use them. They are deceptively abrasive little buggers.
I'm thinking of getting these to whiten up the base of sneakers that go off white over time
Hmm… havent tried this but worth a shot, just bought a pair of op shop hiking boots for my 5 year old that have some yellowing. Guess it depends how deep the yellowing goes.
Works perfectly for that
Recently traded cigarettes for vaping, I wonder if I could whiten my teeth…
Dentists will lose clientele if people find out this trick.

I prefer to buy melamine foam from the supermarket for much more than it can be purchased in bulk for online.
It's the disposable packaging that makes it worth the extra money, ripping it off and binning it….so satisfying.
Exactly. For those who don't know, this is just melamine foam, which is dirt cheap because it's an industrial byproduct.
It is amazing for cleaning because it is abrasive. So keep it away from easily scratchable surfaces. Great in the bathroom especially. It disintegrates quickly, but at this price you can treat each sponge as single-use.
We had some of these like a decade ago before supermarkets sold them thanks to a family friend with a cleaning supplies business. He told us they were good for removing marks off walls.. what a mistake that was. Yes the marks were gone but if you looked at the wall side on you could see markings where we had rubbed lol
I ended up using them on an old car to get rid of dead insects, tar etc that wouldn’t come off in a wash and it worked perfectly. Car was white and from what I saw it didn’t damage the paint like it did on our walls!
Never use these on a car paint job. They are abrasive and will scratch your car.
Yeah I wouldn’t recommend scrubbing a car with them. I would cut a tiny piece big enough to spot clean small markings/insects here and there, limiting the amount of contact with the paint to only where the marks are within millimeters. Didn’t notice any damage to the paint but the car was white so maybe harder to see any damage
Yes, I use these on my white painted walls all the time and have also noticed they tend to polish off the paint which is visible at an angle to the light. Better than the marks Im trying to remove though and beats a repaint. I recommend trying something less harsh first and if that fails then hit it with the magic sponge.
The “magic” is that they will remove the top layer of whatever you’re scrubbing, so use with caution.
These are good but they work by micro-scraping, so not ideal for glass or scratch-prone surfaces. Also, be sure not to flush the flaked bits down the drain as these are essentially micro-plastics that end up in the oceans and/or block drains over time :/
micro-plastics that end up in the oceans and/or block drains over time :/
End up in your body
That's a bit too kinky for me, but suit yourself.
Assuming the 10x6x2cm sizing is for all the 20 sponges together, not individually?
Why? if you divide that by 20 you will have 20 hubba bubba sized sponge pieces
Because the ones I usually buy from woolies are in a block that separates into pieces that are about half matchbox size.
My order hasnt arrived yet, so will have to wait and see.
This deal is fantastic. No longer do I need to decide if a particular stain is sponge worthy. ;)
I'm re-painting the inside of my house at the moment. These are great for getting off dark marks that sugar soap won't.
Once the walls a clean, I repaint therefore any 'shine'doesn't bother me.
…nice tip. painting too….will try it out
If you have white walls and kids, this is a godsend.
Reading all these comments. Today I learned something new. I had no idea I needed this in my life
Just dont think and buy it
These, and micro fibre cloths, will change your (cleaning) life.
Is this the same sponge they use to make your oily greasy steering wheel back to a matt new looking one?
