@Timetraveler: Sorry to let you know sir, but for someone who owns a business for 34 years, you still can't write.

                • +1

@sky blu: In all fairness, he didn’t specify what type off business he was in. Had he said that he was e.g. accountant, solicitor, journalists etc etc, then you may have had a point.
There are lots of business people that are highly successful and have been in the past that couldn’t even speak the language fluently in the country that they resided in.
Sure he could have worded it a bit better as there was quite a bit written hence more mistakes to be made compared to a smaller sentence.

So should one then criticise your nitpicking and sarcasm, then throw a blanket cover over whatever line of work (that’s if you work) you do in order to gage the success or whatever you do?
The answer being obvious, then why was the need to be sarcastic sir?

            @Timetraveler:

You dont know nothing about me

That's a double negative, which doesn't make sense.

            • @WatchNerd: Well, after that we can say that we don't know nothing about him.

It's not a lot but it's not nothing.

              • -1

                @xev:

Well, after that we can say that we don't know nothing about him.

                I can't. There was so much text that I tl;dr. :)

              • +2

@xev: when you grow up and act a bit more mature than you display here, you might feel better in yourself than to throw cheap shots at people behind a computer, big boy :)
                Good luck to you.

                • @Timetraveler: I am very sorry that you could not understand what I was saying.

Nothing has been said in this thread worthy of a short story.

                  • +2

@xev: I think he misunderstood what you meant.
I wasn’t sure either but from your reply now, I can see that you meant no malice.

              • -2

                @xev: Hey Mate.

  • +1

So far -6 for me and "tanastra"

I wouldn't be surprised if these same -6 or so are actuall ebay sellers themselves.

  • +1

Instead of seeing a coupon and start hunting for something to buy like usual, I happened to be already shopping and stumble on a coupon!
Bought a suitcase from Surfstich and saved $50! Cheers

Anyone else getting the error “You already applied this code to an order”?

    • +1

      same here.

  • Anyone spot a good iPhone deal?

  • +1

iPhone XS Max 256gb $2,589 before 20%! Thanks Ausluck for the mad jack!

  • PEARTREE has gone PEARSHAPED for me - "You already applied this code to an order." :(

  • +1

Same "You already applied this code to an order."
Absolutely have not used the code already, so that sucks.

  • NEVER USE BUT "You already applied this code to an order."

    From Ebay chat:

I would like to let you know that the PEARTREE code not working is currently an on going issue that our Technical Team is working to have this fixed.

With regard to when this will be resolved, we have no time period for that as of this moment.

The validity of this is until this weekend, so in cases wherein this will not get resolved, surely our Marketing team will launch a new code

    • On eBay chat I asked, "is there any ETA on a fix?" and they replied;

That we we're not certain yet but please allow us to resolve the issue within 5 days.

      • I got told 24 hours :)

      • That we we're not certain yet but please allow us to resolve the issue within 5 days.

It'll definitely be resolved in 5 days. That's when it expires, so it'll be (not) working just as it should. ;)

  • Is it not working for everyone. I've tried multiple products. Time to mark as expired?

    • There is an issue with the code, I rang them and they said the issue is expected to be fixed in 24 hours

  • Code is working fine now, just checked.

    • Not for me. Still waiting for a fix. Support said they'll send me a custom 20% discount code, but that never happened.

    • Just tried my purchase no luck, but will try adding item to cart and starting again

Edit: No, not working for me

  • Works fine until signing into PayPal.
    Anyone know a work around?!!

  • "This code can't be applied to your order". Are you guys getting the same error? Thanks!

  • I already used the code once successfully. Tried on a second order and it said I used the code already. Checked the T&C and contacted EBay. They said it should be fixed tomorrow.

  • I dont think the search link includes all the sellers… I couldn't find an item in the search list, so did a general ebay search, and the first/cheapest item that came up was eligible for PEARTREE - the store was TGV Online (tgv-online01).

    • I suspect they've been removed from the search link because their store contains so many sex toys

  • Still getting the "You already applied this code to an order" error as above. Hopefully fixed tomorrow..

  • Still having the same issue from yesterday :(

  • +2

Stacking this 20% with 10% discounted gift cards, 1% CR and 10% TRS on the original price. Means I get close to 50% off.
I also activate Virgin and Qantas 1:1 points per $ eBay spend.
Will then sell the IT gear I'm replacing for 20% of my buy price 3 years ago.
    Barely out of pocket!

    • Username definitely doesn't check out, that's way more than the Ordinary Consumer lol, well done.

      • I mean, lol I'll just go to Harvey Norman this weekend.

    • What is TRS?

edit: google tells me Tourist rebate?

      • +1

It's available to anyone leaving Australia going overseas who will not bring back the items they claim GST back for.

        • +1

You can bring the item back if it's ~$1280 or below and don't bring in any additional dutiable items when you return.

From many reports here, on Whirlpool, and from what the TRS officer at my local airport told me, they apply 30% depreciation when an item is brought back in as it's then considered a used item. $1280 minus 30% is $896, just below the $900 duty-free threshold.

  • Still not working at all for me

  • Appears to be working fine on my end. At what stage of the checkout did you guys encounter the error?

  • +1

    Just got mine through.

The discount would apply but when you specify a payment option it was giving the error.

All good now. I just spoke to chat and they said 24-48 hours (stock response probably) so hopefully it stays fixed.

  • +1

Code is up and running again. Just used it.

  • Update: works for me now, but i had to use the chrome browser on my phone instead of the actual eBay App on my phone.

  • Work for me now too. I used Firefox on Windows

  • Anyone find some good cheap ear bud style headphones?

  • NOCO GB70 GENIUS BOOST 12V Car Ute 4WD Jump Starter Lithium-ion 2000Amp $216.80 after code + 1% CR.

    Link

Advertised for $499 JB Hifi & $434 SCA.

  • Sorry if it is a dumb question. How do I search specifically for an item with in the link supplied by Charcoal ? I wanted to search "refrigerator" but all i was able to do a generic search even after going through the link supplied by charcoal.

  • I am searching for a summer quilt.
My search results in 29 items…ebay only shows 5. All ebay plus items. There is NO option to see the other results.
Is ebay REALLY filtering results so we have to buy plus items?
