[eBay Plus] LG A9MULTI2X Handstick Vacuum $584.10 Delivered @ Appliances Online eBay

PLUSME

The salesmen at Bing Lee told me this is as good as, if not better than, the Dyson V10. Not sure I believe them but the price is much lower ($584.10) and the online reviews seem positive.

The salesmen at Bing Lee told me this is as good as, if not better than, the Dyson V10

    Must be true then…

    • -1

Little heavier than the Dyson with less suction apparently going by online reviews compared to Dyson v10 but comes with 2 batteries

  • whats the difference between A9MULTI2X and A9MASTER2X ?

    • +4

The bits between A9 and 2X

Seriously though - the colour, and accessories:
        Multi:
Carpet Nozzle, Hard Floor Nozzle, Combination Tool, Crevice Tool, 2x Batteries, Charging Station (Wall Mount/Floor Standing/Compact Mode)
        Master:
Carpet Nozzle, Hard Floor Nozzle, Bedding Power Punch Nozzle, Combination Tool, Crevice Tool, 2x Batteries, Charging Station (Wall Mount/Floor Standing/Compact Mode)

Master currently comes with bonus care kit at the moment.

Master does not seem to be good value considering the price difference.

I got the A9MASTER2X for $674 a few weeks ago for 20% off from TGG eBay, and given the $125 care kit bonus made the cost difference worth it over the A9MULTI2X.

If you can hold out for another 20% off then wait for the Master.

    • Looking at the specs on the LG website it seems they are almost identical. Only difference I can spot is the master additionally includes the 'bedding power punch nozzle'
(Plus they are a different colour)

      Edit: beaten by Leyton! :-)

  • I have the master version and it works like a charm. Don’t have a Dyson v10 and it is much longer in length. I also claimed the bonus toolkit however have not received it. Dyson v10 is much more expensive so not a surprise is better than this.

  • How about price match Master2x at Myer with Appliancesonline? Appliancesonline have it for $714 (https://www.appliancesonline.com.au/lg-a9master2x-cordzero-a…)

Buy Myer gift cards tomorrow for 10% extra value. $650 spent at Woolworths will give you $715 value. (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/412348)

So you end up with Master2x at $650 + get the free accessory pack from LG.

    • Or price match with Harvey Norman and use 2 Amex cards to get 100$ cashback. Thats 614 for A9Master. Amex offer ends today.

Question is, which is better - LG A9MULTI2X or the Dyson V8 Absolute - both are pretty much exactly the same price at the moment, and on paper, they appear to be pretty similar…

    • LG for reliability, overall LG, Dyson reliability is shocking

      • 1 million % agree, my Dyson v8 brush bar cracked after 1 month of rare use, like once a day on minimum for 5 min, stay the hell away from Dyson from experience

    • Recommend if buy Dyson, use a v8 or v7 for daily vacuum of conspicuous particles and a large barrel, significantly higher suction power for weekly inconspicuous vacuuming. Also the turbine head of barrel I’d really sturdy compared to the dodgy Dyson cordless

    • Can vouch for the LG - has replaced my corded vac completely and pulls more fine dust from carpets than all other vacs I have used.

Don't have a v10, but when our dyson v6 died after what I felt was an unacceptable short timeframe of 5ish years, we picked this up. It absolutely smokes the v6 that's for sure.

    Things I like:
    - Bigger roller means less hair from wife and kids tangeld up on roller
    - replaceable battery (And it comes with two, which the built in charger can charge at once! Amazing!)
    - 3 or 4 levels, unlike our Dyson, which only had "shit" and "Suck back legs off a donkey" and nothing in between. We don't really need to use the highest level on the LG, so that gives better battery.
    - the stand is great, better than the Dyson non-stand
    - No trigger, just a power button

    Thing I'm neutral on:
    - Accessories are fine, they work but you know they're mostly just plastic tubes, so you would expect them too.
    - It is heavier I believe, but the structure of it means that once it's on floor, the weight is not really noticeable. But it's a bit chunkier and that's noticeable.

    Things I'm not crazy about:
    - In a household full of girls and women with long hair, emptyting the dust catcher is a little fiddly. I have to get a chopstick in to dig the crap out.

All in all, I'm very happy with it.

    • Thanks for sharing your experience, I had a Dyson DC25 which lasted me 2.5 years. I didn't like the plastic feeling of it, I would only if it is on big sales, the parts can be expensive, that's why I bought a cheap Kmart vac instead, but I am still actively looking to buy a cordless vac for Christmas

  • Thanks for posting this deal op, cant get enough cordless vacuums :)

    • You must have your hands full sucking things

TGG 20% tomorrow so might get the master

    • Yeah thinking the same
