I just dont see the point in posting a "Bargain" when there is like 10 available.

Yeah… 24g per 30g (80%) isn't "ultra lean" at all. It's essentially what you get if you buy the cheapest whey concentrate you can get your hands on.

    • +1

i challenge you to find a better tasting protein at 150 calories per serving with at least 24g protein.

Flavours are good, and you can select flavours in 1kg bags. In the WPI, Vanilla, Salted Caramel & Chocolate are probably my favourites.

i knew someone would post this. bulk nutrients flavor isnt even half as good as syntha 6 edge.

      • +1

I'm not the best person to do so. I drink all my protein with water and can handle the taste of almost any protein . I would never buy a protein based on taste. Always purity.

        But, since you've asked -
        4x24g protein = 96 calories from protein.

        54g cals left (ridiculous)

        55/4 = 13.5g of carbs / ie mostly sugar.

Might as well buy whey concentrate and dump a tablespoon of nesquik in :-/

Slick branded crap that cites "calories per serving" is never a good deal.

        I am currently using
        https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/10KG-WHEY-PROTEIN-ISOLATE-POWDER…

Which I paid just over $20 a kg for.

Vanilla protein is much, much better than chocolate to mix with water.

        • sorry, are you forgetting that fat is a macro nutrient that contributes to the total calories per serve? there are only 6g carbs (2 of which are sugar)

          • @swxfty: I'm not, but I wasn't expecting much fat to be in there.

My protein is ~1.5g fat per 100g.. ie, 4.5 cal per 30g.

            • @[Deactivated]: but the fat content is more than the total carb or sugar content that you were referring to. you are saying theres 13.5g of carbs ( which mostly is sugar) which is completely untrue.

              4x24g protein = 96 calories from protein.
              3.5g fat = 30 calories
              6g Carbohydrate (which 2g is sugar) = 24 calories

              • @swxfty: I was actually just spitballing what the extra calories were - they aren't quoted on on the website in the deal

BSN don't even quote their ingredients on their website - I had to look at nutrition warehouse to find it, just then and when I did, I see it has sunflower oil in..

My point is, you can make any protein taste nice if you're willing to stick 40-50 calories extra into the powder.

Whether that is fat or not, it is (bad) extra crap that you're paying premium for. It isn't ultra lean at all.

                • @[Deactivated]: "My point is, you can make any protein taste nice if you're willing to stick 40-50 calories extra into the powder"
I disagree. which leads me back to my point:
I have yet to taste ANY protein as good as syntha 6 edge which offers 24g of protein at 150 total calories per serve. whilst keeping the sugar content so low.

My protein, Optimum nutrition all taste terrible with water. The only other protein which comes close is MTS whey. But that is too expensive so you cant really compare them.

                  • @swxfty: BN tastes nice with water…

                  • @swxfty: You might be right that it is the greatest tasting protein in the world - it certainly isn't the greatest quality protein in the world. I have very little experience with proteins that put sunflower oil (!) in, so I wouldn't know. That protein tastes better with water because it has creamer in :-/

Try to remember, your point was moderately irrelevant to what I said. I don't care about taste (to an extent). It isn't ultra lean protein and it isn't high protein content either.

Ultra lean is their claim, not mine.
