  • Excellent price for an authentic Diver's Automatic watch.

You got a personalised Coupon Code?!? That’s so cool.

    • +1

No need for this one, I copied the description from an old deal which had a code. Removed now, thanks.

  • like dual colour lume.

Hi guys, i have a similar SRPB55 - great watch; however bezel alignment is off - a known issue. Got it fixed from seiko authorised repairers. Other than that - strudy as hell, somehow more accurate than my ETA movement watches!

    • +1

Which repairer? I took my Seiko to the Seiko Boutique in QVB to claim warranty on misaligned chapter ring and they said too bad…

  • Waiting for the PADI version to go on sale then will hit that!

    • +2

The PADI Samurai has been retired from the range in Australia. Have requested Seiko to get some extra stock in for us. No answer as yet from them.

      • Hi- unrelated to this deal, but I'd love a deal on the Citizen Blue Angels Nighthawk- I noticed there is a deal on the black one. :)

  • Damn these are a nice watch

  • Am I the only that that cringes at the look of these?

    • +1

I'm not fond of the black on black, but I really like the SRPB49K (How can you not like that waffle dial!). I'd snap one up for the same sale price they had in April - Kicking myself that I missed out on that!!!

      • +2

I have the SRPB49K and I absolutely love the look!

    • What watch does not make you cringe?

  • damn damn I'm heading oversea next year that means I can't get TRS on this.

  • Nice price.

Hey watch nerd, I've been looking at the Seiko 5 automatic diver's, but I have teeny tiny wrists. Any suggestions for similar?

    I'd like:
    - automatic or ecodrive
    - waterproof enough for swimming
    - small wrists!!!
    - not flashy
    - not too sporty
    - sub $300
    - not a metal strap

I know that's a lot to ask but I've had trouble looking and thought you might know a good'un. Cheers :)

How tiny is tiny? Seiko 5's dive watches are only 100m so for sub $300 you can get a proper 200m dive watch with a screw down crown. The Samurai doesn't wear big, maybe you can get away with it.

My wrist is just under 7 inches and I have a 42mm Seiko SKX007, but I wear bigger watches also. Old post here for specs & reviews
The cheapest place is usually eBay from Singapore sellers. There is a smaller 38mm Seiko SKX013K1 as well.

      • +1

Like, 6 inches? Pretty little! Haha.

        Thanks for the tips!!

      • Sort of tossing up between these two - what do you reckon?

I don't mind the SKX013K1 you linked but it's pretty chunky looking. If I had to give one feature away to get a less-chunky looking watch it'd be waterproof-ness.

Thanks again for your awesome posts and great advice!

      Consider this and this.

Consider the Orient Mako II too!

Not even months i got a nice citizen chrono from another starbuy deal, and I'm already here trying to find a reason to justify another watch. Watch Nerd is your fault!

If you buy a watch box that holds 10 watches then it doesn't look right if it's not full.

      • Message me when you post the deal on the watch box then 👍

  • Any chance you could get a deal on a Seiko Solar Tuna 200m? 😁

  • +3

I got one. Few things if you want to buy these:

    • they are heavy, I mean really thick & heavy
    • not really precise, 4R35 movement has -20 to + 30 sec per day OFFICIALLY
    • seiko steel strap is not the comfiest on the market

Apart from that, really good looking watch.

  • +3

Just went into seiko at Ginza to try this on and fell inlove. Bought, thanks!
