Amazon Australia 12% Cashback @ Cashrewards (3 Hours, from 5PM AEDT)

2110

Hi all. We'll be running occasional Happy Hour Specials going forward, and this is the first of them. Amazon Australia Cashback at 12% for 3 hours only starting at 5PM AEDT. Increase ends at 8PM AEDT, and reverts to 10%. Thank you as always for your support. Enjoy :)

Very Important Notes:

  • Items added to your shopping cart before clicking from Cashrewards will not earn Cashback and will not be eligible for Cashback claims.
  • You must return and click through from Cashrewards to Amazon Australia every time you make a new transaction/purchase.
  • Purchases made via the Amazon App are not eligible for Cashback.
  • Gift Cards, Vouchers, Charity, Non-Profit items, and Amazon Prime memberships are not eligible for Cashback.
  • Cashback will be paid on eligible purchases, excluding shipping/delivery, taxes and GST.
  • Pre-orders are eligible for Cashback provided the item is scheduled to be shipped within 60 days of purchase.

A Small Education Piece:

Please always ensure your last click before purchase is from Cashrewards. Simply click Shop Now and complete your shopping without leaving Amazon AU. A lot of untracked claims come from the fact members have other tabs open and/or are using Google or comparison sites to review their product/s before purchase. All cashback/rewards sites work off a simple principle - last click. The winning affiliate is always the one that receives the last click. Also turn off any AdBlock/uBlock/Ghostery as well as Safari (mobile and/or desktop) Cross-Site Tracking. Finally, you must return and click through from Cashrewards to the store every time you make a new transaction/purchase.

Can we use the $20 coupon from McD?

    • Yeah, I bought something the other day and used it… from memory the cashback was on the Total amount, minus McDonalds credit and minus GST.

    • +2

only if over $79 and seller is Amazon

    • What is the McD coupon?

      • As part of the McDonalds Monopoly game you could get a coupon which was listed as $5 off various retailers, when you went to claim it one of the retailers was Amazon and it gave $20 off a purchase over $79.

Thanking you for the second time today, tightarse!

  • Can you use more than once? Need to buy parts for my new gaming rig.

    • I checked a few components and it seems that the eBay deals seem better than Amazon.

      • Yeh the RAM @ Amazon is way overpriced and seems like everything else is as well.

  • Oh my 2% …

You see this? I quit! I open my own hotel

Lets see what Shopback comes up with. Trying to avoid CR for Amazon given their previous tracking debacles.

    • They haven't even matched CR's long running (in ozbargain time) 10% cashback on amazon… let alone this 12% offer.

  • Happy Hour Special for 3 hours.

Can matchnerd or watchnerd confirm this is possible?

  • First time using CashRewards - so i did shop now and paid for pokemon legs go from Amazon - when do i see the cash back?

Am i supposed to see an email from CashRewards?

    • You'll get an email after a while. I checked a recent Amazon purchase in my email and can see that the cashrewards email took about 10 hours to come through.

    • -1

Just watch out. Because it's a pre-order it won't be processed and charged until Nov when it's released. So you won't get the 12% cash back from this offer.

      • Not sure if that’s correct. I preordered PLGo when they had $15 off app purchase and I received a tracking notification based on the (lousy) 6% rebate. Yes, the payout will take longer, but cash back should be based on what it was at time of purchase, not time of dispatch.

        • Ah apologies. Ignore what I said then.

  • damn just ordered at amazon……. already shipped too damn amazon is too good at service don't know if should be happy or upset at that.

    • +1

It's easy to click the Mark as Shipped button. Don't get too excited, it's just sitting in someone's out tray for further processing sometime next Monday.

      • nah i got my shipping number already o.O so quick lol (purchased at 3pm)

      • Yeah I placed an order. Got confirmed and tracking number. The next day they tell me it’s out of stock and got refunded.

Edit: this was last month during the 30% off pet products sale

  • Wow, now Amazon sellers are price jacking. I was watching a Loew Cornell Fine Line Painting Pen to touch up paint chips at $25.50, now the price has jacked up to $29.33… It was already too expensive.

    • Same as Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, was $62 and jumped to $69 today.

    Cheers TA :)

  • can we use mobile phone to order?
or we must use computer ?

    • +1

Pretty sure I tried from mobile and it said have to use computer

    • The reason we have mobile disabled for Amazon AU is because clicking out from a mobile opens the Amazon App by default (if installed) which then voids tracking as per their terms. Please use desktop for Amazon AU transactions.

If you are stuck and don't have a PC, just click the "request desktop version" button in your mobile browser and click through cash rewards from there. That has worked for me in the past.

Thanks, spent $4 so saved an extra $0.08.

Any deals for DDR3 2x8Gb RAM?

How I feel seeing all these cashback deals get better and better https://imgur.com/gallery/6sUt4

  • +1

    Nice one, TA!

  • Does this work on preorder? Going to cancel my Spyro and reorder if that’s the case

    • +1

Pre-orders are eligible for Cashback provided the item is scheduled to be shipped within 60 days of purchase.

      • Thanks. Bugga missed out thought 8pm my time

        • yeah I know it's a f;ash sale but kind of a short time span window to know about the promo, I would of used it as well.

Some advise from a consumer, put this out there with 1-2 days notice and people can find things to buy and plan to use the cashback to drive business to your site.

IMO 1 hour notice then 3 hours of an active offer is mostly benefiting people who were already going to use the service, letting it get out there a little more in advance and people know about it will drive more people to use the service.

          • @yacman: Subscribe to TA and/or Cashrewards so you can get notified about upcoming deals. It's how I find out quickly about sales from a lot of stores.

            • @Clear: Thanks for the heads up but only reaffirms from a business standpoint your only enticing existing purchasers who will very likely already use the service, you want to provide a longer promotional period before the flash sale goes live to drive more people to find things to buy and then use the service.

              • @yacman: The 10% cashback had been going for days so I think this temporary increase was more of a 'spur of the moment' increase rather than a preplanned.

Anyone ordered tonight and received their Cashback tracking yet?

  • jesus christ….just about to order and it expired. :(

    • No need to cry still have 10%

      • no man. 10% is a dealbreaker

  • Items added to your shopping cart before clicking from Cashrewards will not earn Cashback and will not be eligible for Cashback claims.

Just a general question: What if the Cashrewards timeout occurs while you're shopping (it regularly does since I like to browse) and you have to click the Activate Now button again (or several times) after you've added items to the cart? Can I assume that the earlier click will still allow for what has already been added to the cart? I assume that this is only a condition of Amazon AU, since it seems to still work for eBay.

    • I had this happened to my with a long order last night. I screenshotted the card, removed everything from it, started the cashback process again and re-added to cart - would also like to know if I had to do this or not.

  • I made my order at around 6pm Melbourne time yesterday.
But the emails I received today show that the cash back amount are 10% not 12%.
    Anyone has the same problem?

    • Mine are at 12%

    • +2

Hi timsin67. Please note that cashback is calculated ex GST, which may explain the difference in expected cashback you’re seeing. If you still believe the rate is incorrect in your account, ping me your CR email address and I’ll look into it for you. Thanks.

      • +1

Thanks TA for fixing the problem for me promptly.
The cash back amount were indeed calculated wrongly as 10% instead of 12%.
People who have the same problem should contact TA to get this fixed.

  • Still no tracking email for me yet.

  • +1

    I got mine yesterday
