oh seems to be on sales quite a fair bit, the replacement brush is the one that is expensive, kinda like the shaver business model

Not met minimum spending.
which one is most effective/medium-hard bristles ?
I think its best to get the softer sensitive bristles otherwise you can risk wearing down your enamel depending if you stay in one spot for too long.
I think you're doing it wrong. Maybe go see a dentist.
no-one needs medium or hard bristled toothbrushes.
i've tried the soft ones they just don't do the job. medium seems to be the best for me but that is a regular toothbrush. Perhaps soft for a powered one?
Welcome. When you feel the need to upgrade, I'd recommend the xiaomi sonic toothbrush. So much better and comparatively cheap
It's not an investment if
a) you don't need it
b) it won't appreciate
c) it's a toothbrush
