I have this one for $49 also probably a better buy it you need higher output for laptop charging. Note it's preorder at the moment.

    https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/kogan-ultra-fast-20000mah-power…

    • Agreed, they sell out fast and always on Presale/Pre-Order.

I'll add it to the post.

    • Does this model have charge through?

    • thanks for the heads up. do you know if this would work with xps13 by any chance? i understand they're a bit fickle? it'd be fine for a switch i think! ideally i'd like something that plays nice with both..

    • looks a bit heavy…

    • +1

They are heavy compared with Xiaomi and don't believe they do charge through. Works great on the switch and works well with my Toshiba laptop. It doesn't love the Lenovo though as it requires a 65w PSU.

  • Solid deal for a USB-C PD powerbank that is relatively slim / lower capacity (most PD chargers are higher capacity), even if it is limited to 18W (not high enough for a lot of PD devices).

I’m tempted to grab one, but I would prefer a deal on the Tronsmart Trim 10,000mah USB-C PD powerbank - it’s just a touch slimmer, and looks great!

Or there is a new ZMI USB-C PD 10,000mah powerbank (QB910), but that’s slightly larger.

  • Just a reminder though, this deal is running out in 6h for the new black PD banks. I bought it last month but totally forgot about putting this up.

As someone who has a Google Pixel phone on the way and never had a usb-c device, these appear to be a great deal.

Have done a bit of research on usb-c devices and Australia seems to be a bit behind with cost effective usb-c accessories (other than usb-c to usb-a cables).

The official Anker Australia store site does not even have a single usb-c to usb-c cable (their response: "Thank you for sending your enquiry through. In Australia we don’t sell the USB-C to USB-C cables, only the US does.").

There was also a qi wireless charging version of the 10k power bank which I managed to order before they were out of stock.

Looking forward to getting these to play with!

    • which usbc - usbc cable did you end up getting and from where?

      edit: please! :)

        • "Tm15" Wow, they would want to be good for $26.95, at least you get a nice pouch with it too.

          • +1

@ozhunter68: they have 20% off pretty regularly. best usb c cable ive tried. alot better than the cheap $5 ones

Just wait for AmazonBasic sales on the USB-C to C, I got a couple for $3-$4 a couple weeks back.

        • Are these the ones that are currently $19.88-$30.99 (USB Type-C 3.1 5 Gbps) or $14.99 (USB Type-C 2.0 480 Mbps)?

Also, they all appear to be rated up to 5V 3A so can only give up to 15W.

I posted a deal for them this week here:

        • Can vouch for these, great cables for the price.

I've actually bought a bunch from various sources, including the previous ozbargin link below (banggood), and Kogan also have $5 & $9 ones. None arrived yet for me to test.

I started by reading Benson Leungs usb-c reviews:
        https://www.amazon.com/gp/profile/amzn1.account.AFLICGQRF6BR…

(however these end May 2017, but at least gave me some brandnames to avoid).

        • I also started reading Benson Leungs reviews but started pulling the trigger on way too many cheap cables here on OzBargain.

I think many will end up making nice gifts to less techy people with lower expectations lol.

These ones claim to be USB-IF Certified (USB Type-C 3.1 Gen 2 100W/10Gbps, PD 100W/20V/5A)

A quick search doesn't show any negative reviews, so I bought one in each size.

About half the cost of other usb-if certified cables (belkin anker etc). $14/$16 free delivery. 10% cashrewards right now.

        https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B07F8SGGH1/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_dp_U_…

(I now have about 10 different usb-c cables, 4 chargers, & 2 powerbanks coming, went a bit overboard I think).

        • Thanks for info. The cable you linked above looks like a good quality and well specked.

For the moment I still do not own a laptop/tablet with USB C yet, so really just need my cables for usb-pd up to the max that an average smartphone can handle for charging with a usb c pd power bank. If I can future proof them by trying to get usb type 3/3.1 for faster data transfer then even better. I also have bought multiple usb c to A and usb c to usb c cables, as well as chargers 240v/12v car and various power banks ( embarrassed to say how many as I have the OzBargain battery/charging Bug ).

I will have to trace each cable back and label the specs on each as I really can not remember most of the CLAIMED specs, and then over time TEST them and again label the results ( only tested the charging Watts with an App on various phones, not the data transfer ).

I never knew that charging gadgets would turn into such a confusing technical science lol.

  • Can this (20,000mAh) charge Mavic 2 Pro batteries?

    • Doubt it. It needs 13.8v and 4.5a

You need the dedicated power banks made for the 3cell batts

  • How long do these typically take to arrive? I'm flying out on the 2nd and would love to have these before then…?

    • Found my own answer

"Leaves warehouse in 1-2 business days"
+ "Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide 1-4 business days after dispatch"

      = 2 - 6 days

      https://www.kogan.com/au/shipping-guide/

In theory… Anybody have any experiences to share?

really looking for a PB for my iphone max, need PD, and QC would be bonous as i do have an S8 lying around.
need good quality and lightweight, 10000mah max(dont want heavy) as i already own ZMI powerbank for more juice usage. just want something light on the go.

    • Did you end up getting the 10000 mAh from here. I use the Cynett usb C Pro 6000 mAh ( 18 W max ) for phone, use the 200000 mAh for PD which is similar to your ZMI. Do you really want/need PD with more than 18 W for a power bank for your phone?

      • +1

i use ZMI when i am carrying my MBP. i am getting it tmr in the mail.

  • Just got a 10,000mah one again for portability. Hope these work better than the 20,000mah one here: https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/kogan-ultra-fast-20000mah-power…. It appeared to have terrible reliability issues. Although credit to Kogan, it seems they just refunded most people.

Just got the 10,000mAh delivered. First impression: build quality is much better than the older white Kogan banks, charging my Pixel 2 rapidly so far.

  • +4

Updated: After a week of using, here are my comments:

Build quality is better than older white Kogan banks, feels sturdier and more premium.

USB-C PD input and output works exactly as advertised, charging the power bank is very fast, probably an hour or so. Output is also fast on my Pixel 2 and it's always "charging rapidly".

Charging the power bank with USB C though, get rather hot, using my Pixel 2 Google Charger (18W). Granted, it was hot in Sydney and even my Google charger is about as hot so I doubt nothing out of ordinary because unlike Phones, it's constantly feeding 18W until the bank is full. There's a reason why the phones always throttle down the fast charging.

Rated capacity is 6,800mAh is accurate and is pretty decent comparing to Xiaomi (Xiaomi 2S is 20,000mAh advertised capacity and 12,800mAh rated capacity). Showing rated capacity along with advertised capacity is pretty informative.

Updated: Just got a funny one time issue with the power bank. It apparently drained the phone instead of charging it, but the issue is gone after I press the button on the bank and can't replicate it again. All this time I was using the Google USB-C Cable.
