    (80 Pieces)

    Do they really count them?

    • +94

      For you, I will

      • +5

        So normally, they don't ?

        • +172

What he means is you usually get way more than 80 pieces in a bucket but for you, he'll make sure you don't get any extra.

      • Will you cross the ocean for jv? Will you go and bring jv the moon?

        • +4

he can cross ocean .. to get away from jv..

      • +1

Order for jv? Don't forget to highlight 80 Pcs in Bold

    • +1

      Do they really count them?

    • +17

This may come as a surprise to you jv but counting to 80 isn't that hard.

    • +9

They have a popcorn chicken counter. It's kind of like a coin counter, but for popcorn chicken.

      • Is that serious or a joke?

        • +18

As serious as people take your comments

    • +11

They probably just start with 40 chickens, cut the popcorns out, cook them and hope they don't lose any along the way.

      • TIL every chicken contains 2 popcorns

    • +3

they'll probably just weigh it up based on the accepted median weight of 80 pcs of popcorn chicken

    • Simpler to do it by weight and allow for slight overage so you get at least 80pcs.

      • +1

Somebody do extension math to good use in real life.

    • I have a friend who would… and then go and complain so much that she'd get another free 80 pieces

  • +5

Not able to find this at any KFC in Queensland. Looks to be limited to regions where Collins doesn't run the franchise. (Added report for mods to update title)

    • So no QLD?

      • -7

        It's just above NSW

        • +17

I am in NSW and above me is the sky. I cannot see Queensland up there. Are you absolutely sure of its location relative to NSW?

          • +3

I am in NSW and above me is the sky.

@jv: I am sorry to hear that. It must be embarrassing having your innards on constant display to the rest of us three dimensional beings.

              • @alvian:

                It must be embarrassing

                It doesn't affect me.

            • +1

@jv: Can someone get this guy a red and green sunnies plz?

              • +2

Not really, we still have Dan who is refusing to assist police at the moment.

                    • @jv: What/which/who is Dan? O_o;

            • +3

        So no QLD?

        Not during daylight savings.

    • +3

The Macarthur Chambers store in Brisbane had it. Bought some today for lunch.

      • Possible, not available in app, even at Macarthur Chambers.

        • +2

Wasn't in the app for me either. The cashiers just found it in the POS system.

  • +8

I like how the thumbnail pic includes a wipe as a side.

    • Not sure if it’s a cable tie or a genuine sought after novelty as per my childhood.

    • +2

What is the nutritional value of the wipe?

      • You joke but cellulose is sometimes added to food. Same stuff cardboard is made out of. :P

        • +2

Yup, it’s called fiber. Nutritional fiber. It helps you evacuate after a bucket of chicken.

  • +5

Of the 80, how many are chicken?

    • +5

60% chicken or chicken substitute, 40% batter

      • +7

I know you’re being funny but it would actually be less than 60% chicken.

        • Especially after accounting for all that chicken substitute.

      • Whatever % is chicken would be 100% factory farmed… so not really chicken at all. Just some crap full of hormones/steroids grown in a shed.

        • +1

Of course it's still chicken. Exactly the same creature, eating the same food.

The greater concern is what part of the chicken they are made from.

From your username, it sounds like you need to go back to the shed so your portion sizes are better regulated.

          • +2

@llama: Definitely not eating the same food, would question if it’s the same creature..

Factory farmed chicken is grown in super time ~35 days to maturity. To achieve this they feed it a cocktail of hormones, steroids, antibiotics and who knows what else..

A normal free range / organic chicken takes ~3 months to reach the same maturity / growth. It doesn’t get fed any of the above crap.

No way kfc could afford to sell the real stuff this cheap… so something has to give.

            • @chubbychicken: So if what you eat doesn't make you what you are, does that mean people who eat KFC are not human? What food does a real human eat?

              • @NickFritz: Eh? How did you conclude that? All I’m saying is kfc use the absolute cheapest chicken grown.. which is fed so much steroids/hormones etc that it’s almost unnatural.

                • +1

@chubbychicken: Didn't you know, oz chickens here are fed with popcorns.

        • Just FYI, but steroids and hormones have been banned in Australian poultry since the 60s.

    • +5

      45 meat, 32 gizzards, 3 beaks.

Popcorn chicken is breast and is significantly more expensive than nuggets.

      • Both Popcorn and Nuggets are made of Breast Chicken.

        • i would just get breast

  • +14

The ozbargainer inside me loves these kinds of deals. The sensible side of me asks, 'What are the health costs of all these cheap fast food deals?" Usually the ozbargainer wins :P

      • +39

        lame reply bro

      • +9

It was a very cool story. I personally can't wait to read the sequel

        • +4

The sequel is an unending cycle of KFC followed by post-KFC regret. Groundhog day style.

        • I actually cried because it’s too true.

        • +1

Leaking some details for the sequel, it's called The Operation - coming in 2019.

      • Tell it walking champ
