I noticed these two sellers have this for normal price of $255. Then they have 5% off with P5OFF, plus an extra 10% off at checkout.
Looks like a really good price.
shopping_express_clearance is eBay Plus though I don't know what that actually gives in this case. $50 express postage apparently.
Oh, just found Futu have two listings, one is eBay Plus.

meh, I got mine for $205 posted from Computer Alliance a while ago.
sooo I wait for i9 9900?
Which will be 4 times the price? Very different market for $850 cpus than $218 ones.
And the performance difference is nowhere near the price difference. The R2600 and R2700 are just exceptional CPU. The price/performance is so far ahead of anything from Intel it's bizarre.
Top of the line 5 or lowest 7?
Do you need more cores?
How can I work out how many cores I need?
Do you do lots of sound or video editing / rendering / conversion? Zipping / unzipping, compiling? Use Virtual Machines? Play games amd stream them? Then consider 8 cores.
For general users I'd say 6 is plenty at the moment.
I am probs going to upgrade to the 7nm when that comes out and will go balls to the wall top of the range, so went 2600 for now while i wait.
Gaming and general desktop processing R5 should do. Anything else is overkill. Gaming is more dependent on GPU.
I bought the 2600 last week from futu for $204 with the 20% off, probably worth waiting a few days/week for the next one.
I agree with this. Whilst this CPU is totally worth the price listed here; we have been constantly getting deals that are less than $210 if you can wait.
It's going to be a great upgrade from the 3570k OC i've had running for 5 years, that's for sure! Only regret is not buying this 6 months ago.
How do I get the extra 10% off? I can only see the 5% off with P5OFF when I go through checkout.
EDIT Got it, worked with express clearance, but not with Futu.
Can you tell us how you did it? I'm looking around, but I can't seem to figure out how to do it.
Anyway, is the extra 10% compatible with the PODCAST code? If it is, I'll see if I can try that with something else they got.
Tried PEARTREE for the 2600 but receive " You already applied this code to an order."
I used PEPPY code and it shows $212 total, which is $53 discount.
so which one is it?
