With a compact design, fully-adjustable dripper valve, and a permanent stainless steel filter, it’s the perfect device for coffee lovers who want to make this exclusive style of cold brew from the comfort of their own home.

This ‘slow-drip’ method takes far less time than the more common ‘immersion’ method—only about 2-3 hours total—but still produces a rich and vibrant cold brew coffee concentrate. Thanks to the adjustable dripper valve, you have complete control over the dripping rate of your water, which means you can customize your technique at any time.

  • Whomever set up the system for those pictures clearly doesn't do much cold dripping.
The coffee is on an angle You'll never get a good even soaking with that.
and this one has no filter on the top to spread the water over the grounds…
For $130, I'd pay a little more and get the Brewover. More versatile.

    • I 100% agree about the images!

But disagree with the Brewover - have personally used them but honestly not a fan! :)

      • Fair enough. Mine gets quite a bit of use over summer. Not as much use over winter now that I don't really drink pourover since I got an espresso machine.
What don't you like about the Brewover?
This one does look nice and compact though…

  • Still using my Hario Cold Brew 1L pot…. Does the job well enough for me.

    • I agree! They are awesome units, We just got them in black - looks great! https://alternativebrewing.com.au/product/hario-cold-brew-po…

      Enjoy it

      • can you do a deal on these? ive been using the upside down method with my aeropress but would like something less messy and higher volume

        maybe free shipping?

        • You can use CB5 for $5 off these! Sorry, low value item hope this helps

          • @AlternativeBrewing: thanks!

before i jump on this. are there cheaper cold "drip" options under $50?

i cant justify a $100 cold drip device im only going to use a handful of times

            • @furythree: Sadly not sorry! Immersion with the cold brew pot is best under $50 :) Makes a great cup

            • @furythree: This is just under $60 after p&h. If you're using ice cold water to drip you're getting decreased caffeine as caffeine as solubility goes down with temperature. If you're after a decaf alternative then yes ice water cold drip is the way to go.

              • @serrin: i was told by someone that cold brew results in high caffeine? or did i get that completely the wrong way?

wish you linked it before i just bought that hario one :(

                • @furythree: Sorry, I was too slow. Caffeine extraction depends on the time you spend immersing the beans in water and the temperature of the water. The eBay device (which is what I use), doesn't really allow you adjust the exit flow rate and thus you can't really immerse the beans for too long unless you adjust the grinds and then it's more of a guessing game. This device and the brewover are kinda hybrid cold drop/cold brew devices. The Toddy gets large amounts of caffeine due to the fact you let the grinds steep for like 12 hrs (even at really cold temps). I'm more into a cold drip rather than a cold brew though. This is the seller's article on it.
The hotter the water, the more caffeine you get, the longer you spend immersing the beans the more caffeine you get. You should make it to your taste though, because if you end up tweaking the method for most caffeine you might find the taste is not that palatable.

                  • @serrin: ah ok so

                    hot = cafeine
cold short brew period = low caffeeine
cold long brew time = loads of caffeine again. Thats probably where i heard it from (for immersion brews)

                    whats the toddy?

i cant understand how drip brewers are somehow quicker. Is it cause it passed through the grinds and filter so only immerses as long as the grind/filter fineness allows?

      • Are these made in Japan?

    • how do you cold drip with this one?

      • thats an "immersion" brewer, so the brew will be more of a concentrate result, stronger!

    • thats an "immersion" brewer right

      Any difference?

  • I got a Diver one that looks exactly like this in Taiwan for $40

    • Ill look into it!

These are German designed in Hamberg :)

      • Is it american or german?

        cough Google "Hamberg" cough

I bought the Body Brew Bod from these guys last year. Very helpful bunch.

    • Thanks heaps! Hope you have it ready for this summer!

  • +1

Yeah, I forgot to mention I bought the my Hario jug off them too. Great company to deal with.

Still not a Tiamo. Wish I could fit one in my kitchen.

The Breuer does me well - almost time to get it out as the weather warms up.

    • They are beautiful! Next summer! - they are great units, the coffee!

  • How does this compare to OXO Cold Brew Coffee Maker?

    • the Oxo is a huge unit, where this is compact and can fit in the fridge door easily. In terms of the brew its slightly faster resulting in a less acidic coffee, but also then slightly weaker, so just adjust your brew ratio when mixing. Overall personally prefer this, it really did impress me a lot.

  • Any deal on an aeropress??

  • Hi,

I still am unsure if this will be better than the Hario Shizuku Slow Drip Brewer you also sell. I have been waiting for that to go on sale :)

    Paul

  • Any deals on a Chemex?
I broke my V60 and want to try another filter, or what else do you recommend?
