And for people who say the power supply isn't big enough. The recommended power supply wattage of 300w is based off computer's with a higher power consumption. Systems with I7 3.2ghz or higher. It should be written in the user manual.
I got the HP ProDesk Deal a few weeks back that has a 240W PSU. I installed a GTX 1050ti to it and ran bioshock infinite in Very High settings at 60fps.
I was reading a review that on full load (non-OC), the draw is only 75w max which pretty much is the max power the PCI slot can give out.
I have a Lenovo M92, 240W also no issues
I have a HP G1 elite desk SFF with i7 and it runs fine.
I also have 1050ti, 4x slot of ram all used up, 2x2.5" HDD and 1xSSD
But can it run minesweeper?
Bought one from a previous deal. Got a USB dual band wifi adapter. But it only picks up 2ghz. Is that an issue with the adapter or this pc? I want to connect to 5ghz frequency.
both modem and adapter have to support 5ghz. Plus the 5ghz range is not as long as the 2.4ghz range so maybe distance is the factor.
I see. Distance isn’t an issue because it’s right next to the router.
Do you mind me asking, why not run an ethernet cable if it is right next to the router?
My bad, I meant its inside the room but only 3-4 metres away in distance.
Add a cheap pci Wi-Fi card?
not cheap but I use this and highly recommend it

Yep 5ghz sucks for distance.
this one doesn't come with wifi, any recommendation which usb wifi dongle should buy?

Not a dongle, but a very useful device. You plug in your pc, tv, console or any device that only has ethernet port and the router itself picks up the wifi. It has 4 ports, I have mine next to the tv with the tv and consoles plugged in. It was used in an older rig for wifi and it played online games just fine.
not cheap but I use this and highly recommend it

Doubt this is a big issue for most people but this is a 7010, not a 9010 like some of the previous deals here. The 7010 only supports 16GB RAM, but that seems to be the only difference.
Hi, Anyone knows how many internal 2.5" or 3.5" bays for axpansion are available on this model? Thanks
Number of Bays:
1 internal 3.5”
1 external 5.25”
You can fit both 1x2.5" and 1x3.5" in the case.
the 2.5" just needs to go beneath the 3.5" tray
I'm guessing this doesnt have any m.2 slots?
You can get cheap low profile PCI to m2 adapters, should you really want one.
I already have an m.2 spare, was just wondering if i would be able to use it with this or not.. guess i can use the spare 2.5" SSD.
The 9010 is the same price, not sure what the difference is
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Dell-Optiplex-9010-SFF-Intel-i5-…
According to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dell_OptiPlex
3010 - Intel H61 Express chipset, Gen 2 & 3 CPU, 16GB max RAM.
7010 - Intel Q77 Express chipset, Gen 2 & 3 CPU, 16GB max RAM.
9010 - Intel Q77 Express chipset, Gen 3 CPU, 32GB max RAM.
Not sure how accurate that table is.
We still have heaps remaining of the Logitech Keyboards and mice, which will stack with the 10% off code if purchasing other equipment.
Will this be good enough to hook up to our TV in lounge to watch youtube videos? or do i need a low profile card of some sort
Just get a Chromecast.
Its more for my parents, they don't know how to use their smartphone well
If you need a remote get a Xiaomi Mi Box for about $80. Remote includes a mic for voice search, works pretty well for YouTube. The annual electricity for powering this PC 24x7 might cost around the same as the Mi Box.
Ok i get that, but im asking will the pc handle displaying youtube videos in HD on a 40" screen with just onboard graphics? Thanks for the replies
Yes, the PC won't have any problems, playing YouTube isn't demanding.
Only problem is if your TV has the necessary connections to hook it up.
Edit: Still think this is overkill and potentially more problematic.
@interpolatile: Also note this doesn't have an HDMI port so you will need a Display Port to HDMI adapter or cable (you can get them for cheap on eBay). Plus it looks like you don't get audio over DisplayPort on this Dell so you will need another cable from aux-out to audio.
SHes using an old laptop atm, which is just slow and has artifacts, i think getting one with 4gb ram and an ssd will solve everything. Thanks!
If I get 8GB, SSD and get the 1050 card will this run Fortnite ?
Yes
What about 8GB, SSD without 1050 card will this run Fortnite? I have one from the previous deal (USFF) which cannot be upgraded due to the ultra small form factor.
It would almost certainly work, and might be almost playable with the quality settings turned well down. Of course if you're an even half-way serious gamer, don't even think about it.
It won't work, I've tried and it's unplayable. The minimum I've got it running on is a 1030 but be careful as there are 2 types of 1030. You want the DDR 5 version
Is this computer better than the Dell Inspiron 11 A6-9220e ?
I don't understand computer but why is this processor is still faster than the likes of A9-9420e?
A9-9420 was released only last year, whilst this one released 5 years ago.
A9-9420 is a laptop processor —> power consumption more important than performance. Additionally based off old AMD tech back when Intel was undeniably better than AMD.

How comparable would this + a 1050 ti be to a PS4? Thinking of setting up a gaming computer/htpc on my TV.
I brought a hp elitedesk 800 g1 sff. Added a Gt1030 ($96 from msy). Awesome HTPC attached to my Sony TV. Its capable for games just not the really new ones. You can not beat these for value for money.
Before anyone ask, yes this can fit a 1050ti low profile in the 16x slot for a budget gaming machine :)
No, it won't be powerful enough to run solitaire (sarcasm)
