Similar deal to 2 for $40 4k Blu-Ray titles, Amazon Australia also has a list of 146 Blu-Ray titles on sale at 3 for $40. However, many titles are already discounted to under $13.33 (3/40) so a bit pointless to use the 3 for $40 promotion. One title is $5.18 (delivered for Prime member) — Into the Storm. Many others are $6.98, for example 2001 A Space Odyssey. So do change the "Sort By" to "Price: Low to High" to pick out the bargains.

Offer expires 30 September.

Not sure what Amazon is thinking when the combined total of most titles is already under $40.

    They need to try a lot harder - 3 x 4k titles for $40 maybe…

  • Many of these titles - especially the Warner ones - have been cheaper at JB over the past several months. Even recently JB had 4 for $20 with these Warner titles.

Amazon AU is plainly CRAP since we can no longer purchase from the US / UK or other stores.

This ARTIFICIAL BLOCKAGE does nothing except deprived Australians from purchasing stuff - or having to resort to eBay prices.

Tend to agree that Amazon has shot its self in the foot. I think that they're losing money with reduced sales from higher profit items vs more sales from lower profit items. Admittedly there are some people who still buy from the USA but for people like me who do not buy enough online to justify the extra effort and cost of getting the product fowarded to Aus, they have lost a fair bit money. For example, I was looking at buying an Asus 302 Chromebook. I would have saved about $170 ( with express delivery ) had I bought it from the USA. Unfortunately I left it too late and the new GST rules started.

From now on me thinks ebay will be thanking me. Not as much as I thank OZ Bargain though. :)

I don't know whether you have or haven't checked for a Amazon Global Store link with the product you mentioned, Asus 302, but with Prime membership you would get FREE international delivery on Prime International orders over $49. Until a few days ago it was cheaper via Amazon AU with Amazon Global than the Amazon US site. The US has since dropped another US$50.00 off the price. It always pays to check.

Whilst it sometimes works out cheaper than the Amazon USA site, I have made it a habit of checking between the two and have had some good results. Not always successful, but with diligence & patience you can get get lucky with your results. This is certainly better than the Amazon Marketplace sellers who ask for ridiculous prices and are tarnishing Amazon.com.au with their price-jacking practices. It was bad enough trying to avoid them on eBay.

    • Thanks for that. I'll have a look into it. Just wondering if I actually really need it now. My current Chromebook was playing up earlier - which was why I was looking at the Asus - but has since been fine, But like a lot of people would like an upgrade. Might wait until next year and see what that brings.
