Came across this by accident, but D700+ Downlights, White in Warm or Cool White, less than half price each. Cheapest by far I could find. No details on how long this lasts for but my order from Wednesday last week just arrived today.

Definitely overpriced at $69, but also seem to be much higher quality than the many 20-30 dollar downlights around.
What diameter hole do these need? Anything more than about 91mm is a dealbreaker for many.
92mm hole
Ah cool. Do-able then. Nice.
Why do people limit themselves to 91mm?
They do sell plaster saws….
Downlights more than 91mm diameter are a deal-breaker ? Why ?
Just had too many annoying problems with fitting standard size downlights in houses where previous owners have installed big & ugly downlights from years gone by. Awful adaptor rings required or big replastering job, urgh.

Google knows more about your buying urges than you do.
Good lights, I fitted my house with 50 of the D700 about 7 years ago when they costed over $100 each. They were the brightest ones you can get at the time. Now they are so cheap.

Thanks OP! Been waiting for these to come down again.
I used to work at a lighting store, for those wondering - Brightgreen's are among the best lights I've seen in person. They charge a huge premium as a result (imo their pricing scheme is similar to Apple: overpriced for either no/or little benefit over cheaper alternatives). Personally, I like these because of the high CRI ("true-colour") - meaning there's a bit more 'pop' to interior space colours (mainly red's).
Got four of these delivered. They give a very nice light, compared to ordinary downlights with a diffuser. Note that they are 10.8watts, so slightly less bright than the normal 13w downlights. Also, the color is not quite white, more like cream, so if you want them matched to your bright white ceiling, you might need to get the powdercoated. The color noted on the website is called Stowe White which is a dulux color. See here: https://www.dulux.com.au/colour/stowe-white
Down to the price it should be selling at.
