BenQ MP515 - DLP Projector $499

20

BenQ has made improvements all around - from re-designing their color wheel for maximum noise and vibration absorption to creating a smoother airflow that enables exhaust fans to run at lower speeds. The BenQ advantage: sweet silence!

MP515 boasts high contrast ratio with 2600:1. High contract ratios translate to razor-sharp detail definition and a broader range of subtle color differences, which makes text is sharper, cleaner, and easy to read and in turn grab audiences' attention and interest.

A 2500 ANSI lumens projection lamp ensures great viewing even is location with ambient light. MP515 is ideal for small meeting room with under 25 people.

  • Or for $89 more you can get the MP525P model which is 1024x768 resolution

    http://www.ht.com.au/cart/1/part/X7495-BenQ-MP525P-DLP-Proje…

  • Only SVGA resolution…
The unit suggested by RedDog is the one to look at.
XGA is a minimum for a reasonably crisp display.

    Great Brightness though.

  • do you still see the rainbow effect on cheap DLP projectors….. I havnt seen one for a while

    • not as noticeable though as the first lot, the cheap ones probably still do. even with DDR (dual colour wheel) some rainbowing is still noticeable… (was reading about it the other day)

Save your bickies do your self a favor and get a FULLHD projector, worth it when you have screens are around 100 inches

  • Depends what you intend to use it for. 800x600 is adequate for Powerpoint presentations in small/medium sized rooms, 1024x768 for larger venues. FHD is only worthwhile if you intend to show video/movies.

Replacement bulbs for these projectors are around $200-250 each for 2000 hours (approx 5 hours every day for a year).

    • true i guess I'm just thinking about home users.
