These bulb type cameras sell on eBay for half this price, eg AU$46.16. BangGood for $42.28.

Not the same. This one claims to have switchable ir-cut for day/night use. And a functioning light, though not very bright.
So better, but I suspect still junk.

      • If the total consumption is 6W including camera (which is about normal), then how much is LED?

Isn't the LED going to over expose the camera?

It also can't be 360 coverage if it only has one lens, not physically possible.

        • A lot of those "360 degree" CCTV cameras seem to be 180 degrees, so effectively a flat plane from the camera rather than a cone. The 360 claim seems to come from the 0 degrees through to 360 degrees as you're looking at the image. So the claim is kind of right, but rather dodgy these days as there are genuine 360 degree cameras available.

        • @banana365:

hmmm, yes I see that now, so it is half a sphere.

Your shipping costs $33 dollars on top of the product price., which means the quoted price of $89 is quite incorrect…

Was there some kind of coupon code you're meant to give?

However, we cannot be responsible for any lost or damaged products via Australia Post.

    That's not how it works.

When I buy a product, we basically have an agreement that says you will provide me product x as described.

If said product arrives damaged - that's on you, regardless of how you choose to get the product to me.

If you need to insure the item for your own peace of mind - that's up to you.

If you're happy to wear the risk when you provide cheap postage - that's up to you.

You tell me how much the item costs and how much you will charge to get it to me, the rest is not important (to the buyer).

You simply cannot state that it's not your responsibility if the item is broken in transit. It is your responsibility.

If you ever try this with Australian consumer laws - you will lose.

If product is damaged in transit - its up to you to pursue with the carrier.

I'm in the business of trading vinyl records, and it's amazing how many sellers just cannot grasp this.

"But I can't compete with the postage other seller are charging".

Doesn't matter - you either wear the risk of the small % of scammers (and it really is a minute %), or you insure (and wear the cost).

As a seller I rarely insure - as for me it's more economical to take the occasional hit from scammers and legitimate cases of damage in transit.

    Here endeth the rant.

      You are right.

I'm voting negative for attempting to circumvent Australian Consumer Law.

  • Can't wait to watch the floor in 3D!

  • not a deal.

  • Spy cam.

    Hi all,
The price here is for the bulb cam.
If it's not picked up locally, its weight freight is less than $33.
The over charged fee will be refunded after the real freight (as I don't know the exact).
Anyone wants more details, please contact me by email [email protected]
as I only check the posts here randomly.

While you're frantically researching how to run a store, you might want to have a cursory glance at some Australian consumer law.

    • I suggest you add in a shipping calculator plugin to your website. At the very least, your cart menu should have some kind of shipping estimator, which can be just a table of rates.

The main issue with your site is that the shipping charges are not known until you have:

      1. Added the item to cart
      2. You've filled out the Billing and Delivery addresses
      3. then in Step 4 you'll choose the Delivery Method. There's no method to choose from and there's not even a radio button for Instore pickup at your suburb.
  • Hi pigferret,

Normally I will use POST Express (signature needed) for the delivery.
Before sending out the box, I will take some pictures of its inside and outside,
send to the buyer so he knows what's inside and how good the items packed.

As nobody will guaranteed what happens after its dispatch,
I have to add that notorious terms you mentioned.
    Sorry for that.

I'm confident with our products here as they are fully surppoted by our factory.

      All beside the point.

If the product arrives damaged - it's on you.

      End of story.

Pictures are completely irrelevant and a waste of time.

      • Hi Pigferret,

In that case I can delete the sentence then.
        Thank you for the remind.

  • Hi hashtagbargain,

    Thank you for your suggestion.
