  Not a bad price for costco members.

  Cheapest on staticice is
  1st; $1,299 - 40" Full HD, I think LED, has Edge LED badge.
  2nd; $1,049 - 40" Full HD LCD
  3rd; $1,699 - 55" Full HD LCD

  A few more details on the TVs in the details would be good though. :)

    I saw sony KDL52LX900 is 2999 AUD (rrp 4499 aud),if I didn't make a mistake.

  isn't the tv in the photo just a normal priced $1299 with an instant sony rebate of $100? chances are non-costco members could probably get the same rebate.

    $1299 is the Costco normal price. The rebate coupons are actually Costco coupons that they release every other month and are generally not via the manufacturer unless specified. I'm sure you could price match it elsewhere.

      How is it ridiculous?

      Sony believe they can do things like remove advertised features from the PS3, and sue people who want to modify their own purchased property.

      More people should be made aware of Sony's BS.

  i used to love sony stuff but lately not so much, lots of reasons but the main ones are 1)they held on to their own Atrac file format for way too long instead of mp3 and missed the tech boat giving companies like apple a huge headstart, 2)they're always introducing their own memory card format making it hard to share data and 3)the "ps3", well what's left of the original ps3, every new generation has had some features cut out, has sony actually improved the ps3 at all, not including the meager price drop?

    Agree, it's alot better now (the PS3, (I have the last version before the slim came out)), but yes 2 measly USB ports, once I use one for my Play TV and one for my USB Singstar mics, I can not plug another set of mics for my Beatles Rockband (3 singers). Are USB ports THAT expensive to Sony that they removed the others and only left us with two? a bean counters idea if you ask me!… I know I can go out and buy a 6 or 8 USB port expander for not much $, but that's not the point and we are on OzBargain after all!. On a +ive, I can at least upgrade the HDD by myself :)
