[NSW] Holden & Ford Performance Tunes 2 for 1 ($1000 for Both) @ Ultimate Performance & Fabrication, Tuggerah

20
NEEDSMOREPOWAH!

The deal is a two for one offer for Dyno Tunes on your Holden or Ford. The car gets strapped to our dyno and hooked up to the o2 sensors and boost (if you have it) and warmed up before being run to get a base level. Our tuner has been tuning for 30 years, started on carbies and progressed all the way through to haltechs and hptuners. When tuning for performance your car gains fuel economy as well as it uses the fuel better (i thought this would be a good one for you ozbargainers). Feel free to ask any questions and ill try answer them all.
The price for both is $1000.

  • Deals have prices, whats the price of a tune? Is it tune only or do you package with the SCT/whatever unit? Can your guy tune non-turbo engines?

    • Hi nmachine,
sorry first time poster i just updated the price as i overlooked it.
He can tune non turbo but the benefits aren't as apparent, you gain minimal kilowatts but you do get better fuel economy.
Tune only, we're using the original computer and file, extracting it and then tuning and placing it back in.

  • location?

    • Central Coast NSW, Tuggerah. I will update the post to reflect this as i overlooked it.

  • Do you provide charts - specifically before/after?

    • Yes we provide dyno sheets, showing in kilowatts usually and manifold boost pressure or torque if you prefer. There are a few options for it. If there is someone free we can also provide a short video for you of the last run sent to your mobile or email. (It is recorded on a mobile so not 4k quality sorry.)

  • What are the expected gains from an FG Xr6 Turbo or F6?

    • Any modifications on either?

      • Stock vehicles

        • Sorry about the late reply. You would be looking at 30-40kws on a stock vehicle.

  • -3

SO this deal is only useful if you own both a Holden and Ford? I suspect that will be an extremely small market!

    • +1

No you can bring a mate, it doesn't have to be just you. It can be either vehicle or a mix of. So you can have a 2 fords, 2 holdens or one of each.

  • The problem is most of the Tuner unit companies have already done the Dyno work and extensive testing for the car it is designed for with tunes for improvements on a stock car and then your usual stage upgrade tunes.

I have a Focus RS and I can get a Cobb Tuner for sub $1000 with very well tested/reviewed tunes, on the fly tuning and lots of other cool features. Hell even a SCT handset with basic ability can be had for around $500.

This is probably good for the Aussie version of the Holden/Ford's even though id imagine there would be a lot out there for the XR6T.

    • Toms tune from focus power is $480 usd I think and includes unlimited retunes I believe and many swear by him. My focus is only an s sadly not an rs but with snorkle delete, cold air intake and maybe exhaust manifolds it makes a big difference.

    • That is true for the design of the vehicle, but every car wears differently. We've also tuned hundreds, yes hundreds of holdens and fords and all the different engines they have in them and with or without modifications. But the deal is for two tunes for $1000 not one, your paying for experience and a custom tune to your vehicle, we could do much the same and make a tune for a generic XR6 turbo via percentages like most but that's not for that car and won't be optimum. The on the fly tuning should be done by someone that knows their stuff otherwise you can do damage.

  • Also a note to all that this will void your warranty if this is a concern for you. Probably something that should be in bold at the bottom of the description…

  • Will this help me get to the Woolworths carpark faster to do the groceries?

    • Much faster. Not sure about your groceries after you leave at speed though. :/
