What’s the go with the $ sign on the wrong side? Does my head in.

    • +6

Not to mention the decimal point. It's 12,000 not 12.000.

  • +2

you must be a big spender

  • +2

    FYI.I got 12K points offer for $60x4 spending…

    • +2

Wow that is really great offer

    • +5

Damn. 8000 points for $100 x 4 here. Deleted the email.

  • +5

    8000 for 4 x $100

    • Wow my deal is crap then compared to others

      • +2

        8000 for 4 x $100 is the same as 12000 for 4 x $150.

        • +2

Paying less for the same percentage off- I'd take the 8000 points offer.

        • ahhh cool - thanks!

    • activated that too, but I will do my 10,000 point - 4*$50 from Coles in preference.

    • Same, 8000 for 4 x $100, will not do it. My current offer from Coles is $50 x 4 = 10,000 points. But even without it would rather go to Aldi. I do not know how they got that number as I never spend more than $60 and then not regularly.

  • +5

OP, please stop changing 12,000 to 12.000 in your title.

    • +1

Lol. I liked the compromise. we'll just get rid of it all together and write 12000

  • 12k Reward Point = 60 Dollar or 8,700 Flyer Point

  • +3

    I got 8000 points for 4x $100 shops.
No point for me, my weekly shop is $50 absolute max.

    • Same.

    • That's what Woolworths are trying to do - increase your spending, in the hope it will remain at the new higher level at least for a while.

    • Same. My sister does $150 a week with her and her husband and I'm just here failing the $50 x 4 week challenges

    • caffeinesloth the same thing happened to me this time.

  • +2

Currently midway through the Coles offer spend $50 for 4 weeks and get $50 back. Seems better

    • -1

Definitely way better than the crap posted by that diiiiiiiick. Got these spend xxx for yyy weeks to get zzz back from flybuys all the time, but never had a 25% return as you do.

  • 5000 for 4x $50 shops

  • +3

Spend $600 at Woolies? Maybe if I could do that over a year or so…

  • +3

"Basically spend $600 in a month to get 10% back."

Excellent rundown of this lukewarm deal. It is essentially no savings at all, as you are bound to spend much more than you need or even want to, often on overpriced items just to get to the spending threshold.

Try spending half of your usual signs for 4 weeks, for true savings.

    • mmmm agree no deal

for a +20% saving, go to Aldi….just stay way from the weekly specials……if you can

Woolies got smashed by Coles after Coles had the successful Little Shop promotion, yes free pieces of cute plastic toys attracts shoppers. The share price of Coles/Wesfarmers and Woolies over the last period of the Little Shop promotion is very interesting. A clear gain in share price by Wesfarmers and a drop in the Woolies share prices.

This Woolies promotion isn't going to win customers. IMO it's just an average deal that requires many shoppers to spend more than they usually do, and I don't think many people will even bother.

  • Wow! You have to go through hoops to get 10% or less off. What if there is a sys malfunction at week 4 and you don't get the points?

    • +1

You contact Rewards - always has been corrected in my experience.

      • Yeah but I've once had to contact them 3 times to get points from a promo added before, so you can get the points but it can be frustrating and time consuming, plus you have to check your statement to find the error.

I'd much rather have an instant $10 off a $40 shop, or $15 instantly off a $50 shop, those always seem to work and don't require repeat shops and give a much higher percentage return.

        • True, but what they are actually trying to do is get you to increase your weekly shop with them permanently. To get to $50 you start buying stuff you may not have considered before. You get used to buying $50 per week in stuff so you just keep the increase going. In our case it just means we buy the long term stuff in the points weeks, especially if they are on special, and then drop back to normal when the points aren't up for grabs.

        • nickj these are quite dangerous when you are trying to spend a set amount to qualify for an offer and all of a sudden your spend drops and you are stuck in the que. The coles system is much better.

  • Been ignoring most of their offers lately - unrealistic for me, even 3000 points for 2 weeks of $50 spend. Coles offers are even worse and I could not care less about their little pieces of plastic.

  • +1

i'm on the 10,000 for $50 * 4 at Coles at the moment. We buy things that will last, e.g. cleaning products, toilet paper, frozen vegies etc or fresh foods. We don't buy snack foods, soft drinks etc. There are quite a few aisles we don't go into.

    • Is 2000 flybuys worth the same $10?

      • Personally I'm looking at the points for flying rather than claiming them for any other reason. However, I have noticed that the "Virgin" points do not seem to be quite as good as the "Qantas" ones - it costs you more points, and some money, to fly compared to the Qantas equivalent sector.

        • funny I always felt the other way around. but now I started churning some credit cards to get qantas points and looking at the qantas points again :)

      • yes

  • +1

i still have one week left of my four week spend $140 receive 14,300 points and have been offered this points offer. So my spend next week will count for both offers.

    • lucky for you.

  • Its different rewards and amount spends for everyone
I got 8000 for $100 spend per week

  • Can we buy wish gift cards with wish cards and still be eligible?

    • Read the fine print
Qualifying amount excludes purchases at Woolworths online, withdrawal of cash, delivery charges and Delivery Saver items, bag fees, woolworthsflowers.com.au, internet cafes, purchases of smoking/tobacco products and accessories, liquor, Gift Cards (including iTunes), mobile recharge, Woolworths Mobile, travel cards and tickets, Carpet Care, Donations, lottery products, Pre-order Kiosks and Auto-order products or purchases on a charge account.

Not as good as Coles. 10% off only.

    • +1

Yeah, woolies gave me 5000 points for $50 weekly spend. Coles gave 10k for the same amount.
