These are currently selling for around $250 -$300 on eBay

Also works on the Tab S4 and for those who preordered the phone from the recent deals on here.

$400 skin is selling to Samsung?

    • You sell the skin on eBay.

      • -2

So is the $400 price guaranteed by Samsung or depends on your luck?

        • Depends what someone is willing to pay, but look at all the genuine current listings on eBay and the completed listings.. $250 -$400 seems to be the going rate.

Certainly makes buying a note 9 a whole lot cheaper factoring this in.

        • -1

@gooddealmate: you should then state on title "up to $400 million depends on your luck".
Or if it should be in forum if luck involved in selling price.

        • @wtfnodeal:

$400 seems to be the upper limit although there are a couple sold above that at $500 and $430 respectively.

$250 is the lowest Buy It Now price currently.

        • -2

          @gooddealmate:

Then $500 is the upper limit, not $400.

    • +1

Someone who buys this either has his/her dad/mom’s credit card and is also who could be addicted

      • Or could buy 8 x Galaxy S9 Notes and do it themselves :P

    • Just saw that too! Bid history shows it jumped from $1,500 to $10,000 :/

      • +2

        LMAO, $10,000

Disputed transaction here we come !

        Oh wait, thats my listing…

      • Fake bids

  • +2

    This is not a bargain.

    • +2

It's money for nothing if you are buying one anyway. How is free money not a bargain? Ok, might be better suited to the forums but just doing my bit to help the OzBargain community.

      • +7

Selling something to make up for a price difference is not a bargain. That's like saying "Bargain - buy a iPhone X at full price and sell your old phone for up to $400". Bargain is based off the original price of the product at the point of purchase. Not what you do with it afterwards to make up the difference.

        • -8

I get that, but you're missing the point of the post. If you own or are purchasing one anyway then you can discount the amount you get from the price you initially paid.

Similar to a bargain you might see on here to claim a manufacturers cashback offer, only the amount you get back is not set in stone.

        • @gooddealmate: The difference in the claim is that you will get something back exactly as what is offered. It is substantially different from selling it on ebay where you could get $400 (LOL!!) or $4 or even nothing (losing the posting fees on ebay). Therefore your "Bargain" could have reduced in exactly the same amount.
If Samsung offered a wireless charger like the last Note 8, then you get one of those as the "offer" - guaranteed as long as it is within the T&Cs. The offer in this bargain is "Fortnite Galaxy Skin" (which is a dupe). NOT "Up to $400 off when you sell the skin".

        • @bchliu:

I haven't mentioned any guaranteed return. I'm just going by what the current sale prices are.

        • +2

@gooddealmate: Thats EXACTLY the issue. There is no guaranteed return. You might even end up losing listing fees as a result too. How can it be a bargain when it is basically selling your asset for any amount (depending on buyer) after the sale?

        • @bchliu:

Didn't realise eBay charge you fees if the item doesn't sell?

        • +3

          @gooddealmate:

You're missing the point. You're better off rewriting the post as "Free Fortnite Galaxy Skin (Note 9 required)" and adding the ~$400 eBay selling price in the description. The user can choose to sell if they want. That's a deal.

Right now, you're saying people will get money if they buy something and then sell it. That's not a deal as per posting guidelines.

        • +1

          @ronnknee:

No worries. Updated the title as per your suggestion.

  • +9

Man what is wrong with the world…

  • +3

    Some sold for $10?

    • there's a listing for $6 Galaxy skin. So why would people choose the ones going for a few hundred?

      • Because they can and they will.

      • Thats for a $6 ticket to a raffle for one.

  • +1

400 bucks for skin?? Wow how times have changed.

    • Counter-strike players have been paying this kind of money for cosmetic items for over a decade.

      • Holy crap. It doesn't change the game play right? I used to play the original. Buy the game and that's it. Expansion packs for new campaigns for other games.

      • CS:GO has only been out for 6 years.

  • +6

    thanks for letting us know
    I appreciate it

    • +5

      Thanks, was thinking tough crowd.

      • +1

if I can sell mine for $200+ that's another $200+ off the cost of my phone
I didn't even know about this

      • @gooddealmate Dont knw y so many people getting mad at u. I never knew tht sumthing like this also exists. Its a different and new info for me. Thanx alot. Thumbs up.

      • People are being Dicks. As far as I can see, this is a way to substantially reduce the price of this phone by selling something a lot of people wouldn't care at all for

  • +4

thanks, just put up a listing.

Good to know, thank you for informing me.

  • +1

    Mods are asleep.

    • Nope.

      • Haha hi Neil. Thoughts on this deal?

        • Need to discuss, will have a decision by Monday.

        • @neil:

Looks like OP has taken my suggestion to fix the title/description to turn it into a deal. I think it's fine now.

        • @ronnknee:

Yes, after discussion deal seems fine now.

  • But isnt it as long as you're able to login to a Note 9/S4 tablet, its unlimited unlocks?

  • Lol dammit wasted mine and I don't even play fortnite

  • Doesn't seem like a good idea for the Fortnite account holder. Pay some stranger and then trust them with your account to unlock a cosmetic item.

    • At a guess you create a new account play three games on your phone and then sell the account on ebay. As is typical with these things the buyer runs the risk of paying for an already claimed item and then trying to get money back from ebay which has gotten harder over the years.

Also do not do a PayPal gift of money ever. PayPal invoice is ok as long as the invoice is perfectly clear for the item sold. PayPal is even more average at sorting out disputes since the split from ebay.

  • Sounds way to complicated for us people who try and avoid fortnite.

  • wow thanks lol, I dont play fortnite..so this is eazy money.

  • +1

how are sellers guna fight back against chargebacks ? paypal has no protection for digital goods. I have listed mine as pickup only.

    • I sold a digital code, sent code through eBay messenger, was aparently a stolen PayPal, code was used. Lost $47.

      • yeah same, for now I listed mine as pickup only. Already got a couple of scam calls and offers from my gumtree ad lol. lowballing me for $50.

      • I have no idea about this game, not sure how this works. So I download the game and play three matches, then receive the gift box. Then sell this gift box or the game account?

        • +1

yes or you can use the buyers account login and play the games so he gets it.

  • I've got one unused from PS4 Pro Deal. Received messages on here and Whirlpool of people asking for it. What is it worth?

    • -1

This is Samsung exclusive..you cant get it with a ps4 lol. However you can use a ps4 account to redeem it.

      • I know that. I'm talking about the skin I got from buying the PS4………

        • You got a skin when you bought a PS4, what did you have before scales? DO you have a molt from before, I would buy that off of ebay for 400 easy

        • @sn809:

I have absolutely no idea what you mean, sorry. Not into fortnite

        • @Gharvey Snruff: this is for Samsung skin..your are offtopic.

    • This one?

      Royale Bomber + 500 V-Bucks Fortnite Code

As much as you can get for it. It's a rare skin (you had to buy a PS4) so people will probably pay some absurd amount for it.

      • Thanks for the info

    • Game is popular. What do u expect lol

  • -3

Why promote stupid… ozbargain is not for this shit..

    • SO all the Impulse buys you have made in the past were what??

  • Yeah next deal you will see is buy any product and sell the empty box on eBay for up to $xxx.

    • -1

have you not seen the empty ipad boxes on sale??

      • Why don't you post this idea as a deal here then?

    • +1

OP has updated the title "Free Fornite Skin" is the deal here as the previous Notes didn't come with the bonus skin. Without the misleading info about up to $400 on selling skin price looks fine. Well you never know some people are interested in the skin and on sell the Note 9 at cost or a small loss instead.

  • Shit the minute you mention Fortnite everyone gets their panties all tangled up. This reduces the price off the Tablet or the phone if you can offload to some idiot wiling to pay.
No one complains about the phone plans where you should sell the phone to maximize the deal. Same same but different

  • +1

Cool, I don't play fortnite so I'll try to sell mine

    • Just sold mine for $100 didn't want to be toooo greedy ;)

  • Awesome deal. Just made my note9 even cheaper now! Woo hoo..

  • -2

Fortnite skin is not $250+, same as mini SNES hype, when idiots were paying $300+ and you can find for sub $99 all day everyday ATM.

  • +1

just sold mine- pickup. Thanks OP! Made my note cheaper.

    • $400?

      • $200, was never aiming for 400. Wanted a safe transaction without the risk of a chargeback.

        • +1

Lucky - I got just over $100… Think it helps if you live in sydney or melbourne as some people would prefer to do it in person.

  • +1

I have now unlocked the skin . How do you sell it? Thanks for your help

    • +3

You can't now it is unlocked.

      • I've accidentally logged into fortnite with my own account, rather than creating a new one, but I haven't played any matches yet. Can I still create a new account, login with that and then play the required 2 to 3 matches?

        • +1

Yep you can. I gifted my skin to my nephew that way. I had even played a couple of games but hadn't met all the criteria yet. He logged in, played and got my skin.
