I see the home mini now works with external bluetooth speakers, so that is a cheaper way to go.
It's almost like Google is making so much money from these devices that they'll pay for them to be in people's home's.
But of course that couldn't be true because no one at all is affected by advertising and marketing, especially unconciously, so Google must be run by financial idiots or something.
Part of Google's success was using non-intrusive advertising, targeted so you liked it.
You search on Paris, and get a few plain-text ads, clearly differentiated, for air tickets, accommodation etc. Before google, it was blinking banner ads, and barely-distinguishable "sponsored" search results.
Of course, google has dropped their "do no evil" motto since then, but google got rich on web ads that were not evil. Now they have $10^11 in the bank, and are looking for new markets to break into.
They were scared of Amazon getting a foothold in Australia with the Echo, but the Amazon store in Australia has been underwhelming so far.
You can join several Google Max's together for surround sound right?
1 is the maximum that's why it's called Max.
How many kitchen timers does one need??
In all honesty, it's a good speaker but they are just about included with everything..
Another apple home pod, way overpriced speaker
Or you could go to Officeworks, pricebeat Dick Smith by 5% because OW now pricebeats grey imports from a .au domain, and save yourself $548-$474=$74.
