I got 5 of those green 2TB hard disks running on my NAS. No problems.
they cost me alot of money in warranty service calls i had switched to them because they were cheaper, they were running 24hrs though but almost 80% of them failed within 6 months
this was 3 or 4 years ago though i have since always used seagate without a problem but of late i have noticed they have slipped too.
WD are the best in the market as of now. correct me if I am wrong.
No such thing as a good brand. Just good model.
All hdd manufacturers screw up, royally, at some point. Even after getting several great reliable models, all manufacturers eventually produce a dud. Some just look stupider when they do it.
