i imagine it won't do a very good job of cleaning
edit: here is a choice review of a more expensive robot cleaner costing $799. http://www.choice.com.au/reviews-and-tests/household/laundry…
I'm tempted… anyone know anything about this model?
This looks like the same model sold in the UK under a different brand
http://www.ciao.co.uk/Reviews/M_288_Robot__6785684lol at chinglish user manual quote from the above website:
One Funny warning on the back of the leaflet was: "Never robot vacuum on head bcos hair jam fire come out" Cant understand why anyone would put this on their head, and reading the fire bit really worried me as this is a carpet cleaner!
From what I understand, the cheaper robot vacuums turn evil much faster than the more expensive ones, which can last months before turning evil and killing off your family in their sleep.
So make sure you check the warranty information because once they go evil it's pretty much useless to you.
yeah, you've got to watch out for those sleeper robots that will revolt and take over the world at the flick of a switch
Wouldn't the cheaper ones lack the intelligence to become evil? It's the highly advanced robots that are after John Connor. =)
So many considerations when shopping for appliances nowadays.
It pays to check that the robot evil/good switch is turned to the good position.
2 seconds to check or decades in a post nuclear AI ruled apocalypse you decide.
I think this is the start… http://www.geekosystem.com/jeopardy-watson-robot-wins/

Another review from 2007!
http://dev.yurtesen.com/content/view/27/9/meh. I want a robot wife that does the cleaning and can also perform "other" duties.
until then dont wake me up :-pJust follow the lead of this guy :)
where's Bladerunner when you need him…lol
Great price, but I would actively avoid the cheap chinese knockoffs of Roombas and iRobots. I've read some reviews that haven't exactly been positive.
One day I'll find a cheap genuine Roomba/iRobot and feel stupid and lazy enough to buy one!
Price?
