  • Why would you tag yourself as a rep?

    • OP is affiliated with Westfield but perhaps not Catwalk. Any affiliation with a business should be stated or just check the rep button.

This maybe a good price locally, but various deals have been posted here previously for the same item, from overseas suppliers, in the low one hundred dollar range. I picked up mine from ASOS pre christmas for around $125 inclusive of shipping.

True Dat! Another Local Ripoff example

      • Yes, but in all fairness to Westfield at least they're trying.

Last year these were selling for >$300 in some places

        • But bargain hunters here are not looking for second best!!

I got mine from hqhair uk, for $104 delivered. Much better.

  • Damn, I just bought one before I checked the price on ASOS which has the same thing for ~$150.

This isn't a bargain. Online stores like feelunique.co.uk are selling these for way less than this even if you include shipping.

    Hello fellow bargin hunters…

Yes you can buy overseas but does that include warranty for within Australia and the shipping price??

What if your straighten (heaven forbid) breaks, then you have to pay to send it back overseas and probably have other costs on top of that!!!!

THIS IS THE BEST DEAL I HAVE SEEN IN A WHILE!!!

When I received my GHD from ASOS the box came a bit tattered. I complained and wanted a new one sent out as it was a present for my wife. It was only 7 days before Christmas, and admist the snow blizzard across the UK, they expressed posted one out, free of cost, which arrived in time for Christmas.

Ofcouse, I had to post the other one back which cost me $40. But ASOS also kindly refunded my postage costs.

So even if you buy an overseas one for $125, and have to pay $40 postage to send it back, it still works out cheaper than $199.

      • I had to return mine for similar reason and they refunded the shipping and send new one :)

Very happy with ASOS customer service.

I would prefer to buy locally to support locals, but I'm not willing to pay inflated prices !!! (if the price was ~ 10% more than overseas including shipping I would buy locally!!!)

omg you sound like gerry harvey. Try convincing us to buy based on your PRICE, not by fear mongering.

Are you missing the fact that GHD have a WORLDWIDE warranty….

and yes it is cheaper including the shipping price….

  • +3

Doesn't matter if it breaks when you can buy two for the price of one @ local stores. Unless the local warranty is a very long time…

Just because you put exclamation marks at the end of every sentence doesn't actually make it a bargain!!!!

Not the cheapest …..but worth it. Its a good deal especially with free delivery.

  • Your enthuasism has convinced me to buy this straightener despite being a male with 1 cm long hair!!!!

beware as there are a lot of fake GHD knocking around see http://www.ghdrepairs.com/Fake-GHD-Alert.php
These ones are probably ok but if purchased oversea's you have to be careful.
I did the research on these (for the missus) a few years ago and ended up buying a Sako which has been great (so the wife tells me) Longest hair on my napper is in my nostrils ; )
