  • Nice, thanks! Now to find a decent movie and a babysitter….

  • Good deal but a bit out of the way.

  • Yes, I don't think its really fair to say its in "Melbourne" when it is in one of its outer suburbs. I'd be buying it if it weren't so far away.

    • Title modified. Thanks.

    • It only takes approx. 20/30min out to Ringwood on Eastlink from Melbourne's CBD depending on traffic conditions. I wouldn't call that far away at all!?

    • Hey, after all the other "Melbourne" deals that have all been for locations 5mins from the CBD, I'm happy to have one closer to home. :P

  • For those who are interested there is a hoyts cinema opposite the restaurant

  • Was keen, but googled for reviews, & have decided to give this a miss.

I work at Eastland and have eaten at Balsamic twice, their food is great! Most people rave about it.

whitenite: i've probably eaten at balsamic about a dozen times since it was first opened, admittedly the opening years were the best and over the next few years the menus, prices etc. changed but i can't say i've ever had a 'bad' experience at balsamic - the food quality has always ranged from great to standard cafe like. i haven't seen those google reviews you're referring to but i'm assuming they were negative.

to clear it up, i haven't been back to balsamic in the last 12 months or so, assuming it hasn't gone totally downhill i think this is a great bargain, the 2 hoyts tickets alone are worth ~$20 (most ppl have access to discounted $10 cinema tix), so for another $20 you get 2 x mains and dessert at a nice suburban venue with the cinemas right next door, great value night out for you and the other half imo

  • SOLD OUT

    • No it's not. My boss just bought 6.

      • IT just said sold out. Now it isn't.

        • Definitely sold out now!

Used to live in Melbourne and as this suburb wasn't too far from where we were (about 15-20min), been to this restaurant a few times. They have live music/band on some weekend nights. Food is decent, and they even cater for special requests if you ask nicely. We paid alot more than this for 2 (without movie tickets thrown in). If I still live in Melbourne, I would not have hesitated buying this at all. Great night out at a great price. Don't want to be a snob, but the crowd there is not the same as the one in Chaddy and I recall a catfight I had with this trollop at the cinemas once ;p MeowrRrr!! I much prefer the atmosphere at Chadstone..

  • Oooohhh I remember the fat chips with Garlic Aioli I had here YUMMMMMMM
