Looking at a AOC 24 inch TN panel now 60hz 1920 x 1080.
It is a bit dull but for what I paid for it it seems legit.
60 dollars posted from I think Queensland to NSW. Could have gone cheaper if i tried but I was in a hurry.
Need an IPS screen for sure but cant find any in my range around 50 dollars excluding postage.
Thank you. ordered
You're genuinely choosing between a POS to a Dell. Just the aesthetics with the stand and the bezels would turn me towards the Dell.
I basically needed monitor with max contrast ratio for work as I need it to look at grayscale images only. my purpose is not gaming or aesthetics but just a screen that displays every shade of grey and has an excellent contrast ratio.
If anyone has any other recommendations please advise. Im open to suggestions? This monitor will not display every shade of grey accurately because it is a 6-bit panel. It can only display 64 grey levels accurately and interpolated the other 192.
@alvian: thanks for the info. I have cancelled the order. Where do you find this information regarding bits?
@OhTeri BhenDi: I use https://www.displayspecifications.com/ but its database is by no means complete.
This https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/392904 and this https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/392019 have 8-bit panels. Examples only, I'm not recommending you buy them without considering your needs.
Seems quite hefty for its specs.
Once again another Dell sale with no bargains.
Post a bargain
OP I don't understand, you pretend to buy a 23" monitor but you just go to Dell and buy this very low specifications monitor at this high price and advertise here?
This one from PLE is much cheaper, better specifications and I can pick up: https://www.ple.com.au/Products/626902/Acer-G237HL-23-Full-H…Yes a much better monitor. If this was a UP2716D it may be a different story, but seems odd to over pay for a bottom end monitor.
60hz 1080p no G/Freesync monitors still getting flipped for ~$200? Wow…
If its an Ultrasharp Dell, then its definitely worth it.
This isn't an UltraSharp.
Also, fair warning: this is a 6 bit panel.
A bargain 27" WQHD IPS Viewsonic ($299)

Picked one up recently, decent quality. If you have the space, the bigger the better when it comes to monitors.
Thanks, this is the stuff we need on ozbargain not advertising.
you can pretty much get a 75hz 1ms response time 24 inch monitor with this price https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/asus-vp278qg-236-gaming-1ms-75h…
