Sadly, $40 for one rose is cheaper than other places (e.g. Interflora, RosesOnly). Makes no sense to me, either.
I don't see where the bargain is here. If every retailer merely asserted that their price is 'a bargain if you compare to others', this site would be unworkable. Looking at your site I can see that some of your prices are lower than well-known online florists, but it's not our responsibility to look this up. Do you charge GST? I don't see an ABN on your site, and your domain is registered in Belgium. Accordingly, I'm negging this.
site looks dodgy, no abn, no contact details, foreign domain, only registered on 3 feb 2011, private domain registration, spelling mistakes & unrelated content on website (dinner, breakfast, lunch, brunch, dessert, wine, cooctail (sic) parties, wtf?).
site seems to be related to (or uses code in common with) a string of other sites: http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=en&source=hp&biw=&bih=&q=… edit: appears to derived from catering website design.
"Office Valentine will donate 10% of all our profits from this event to the Queensland Diasaster Fund"
Err…
Personally I always use a local florist - better to keep the money in the community. Plus they have a huge range, always fresh and good prices. Oh, and open late on V. Day. =]
yeap, always better to deliver it yourself :)
but this website is very expensive, office valentine, you better lower your prices otherwise all you roses will wilt after 14th and you will have soo many roses left…..maybe you can return your expensive roses back to Flemington markets on Tuesday after Valentines where you got them for much cheaper?????
wow…. these people are just merely stupid
To all those kind people who mention that this website is expensive, it would be helpful to us if you also let us know any cheaper websites for the same category of products. Also a bargain is if you can get something for cheaper than most of the places selling the same kind of products, which it is. For Valentine's day, even the Flemington markets have their prices 4 times as much, so its not as we make heaps of profits especially if you add up the expensive packaging products and delivery costs.
We may consider bringing our prices down if you let us know any cheaper competitors.
Michaelz101, we do not stock and sell stale flowers like others. We will only buy them fresh on Valentine's day, so no wastage.Hmmm, the server is being hosted from the US.
More importantly and as others have pointed out, there is no contact details in Australia or business details (i.e. ABN). These things add credibility. Otherwise, you may as well sell it on ebay to have more success!
ryang, Buying from local florists is a completely different concept to online shopping. We aim to surprise someone who does not expect flowers/chocolates to be delivered to them, especially at their workplace. To each their own, I suppose. However, we welcome the comments from all of you. Please keep them coming.
mattgal, thanks for attempting to label this as a scam: However, it would be great if you can also help us improve: where are the spelling mistakes? and where did you get the following from: dinner, breakfast, lunch, brunch, dessert, wine, cooctail (sic) parties? I can get this checked and corrected if you tell me how you found this. By the way, this is a newly registered domain and is a new website.
my apologies, i retracted the scam claim. however, all my other concerns about no abn, lack of domain & contact details etc are still valid. lack of verifiable business information doesn't inspire confidence in you as a reputable online seller. online scams are common and people should (rightly) be cautious of unknown websites.
the spelling mistakes are in the source of the web site of the main page. it appears when flash is disabled or if you view the html source code. all i can think of is that you used some web site design template or software containing it.
Still this is pure advertising.
There is no need for us to give you examples.
even thought Coles has 10 Roses for $35.thanks for the info mattgal. I will get the details updated on the website.
bashar20 - im not claiming that this is not advertising. This website does allow reps to post. However, I believe this is also has reasonable prices with free delivery.
Does Coles have the premium long stemmed roses for that price(I'm sure they dont). And that price is if you buy from them physically and not get them packaged and delivered. Thanks for effort anyway, but apples are best compared with apples.
Expensive.
$40 for 1 rose. are you serious????
There are no bargains there. This site is called ozbargain not ozadvertise.
