Leatherman Knifeless Rebar Multi-Tool $92.80 Delivered @ Knives-Online eBay

Leatherman Knifeless Rebar Multi-Tool.

NB:This is for the "Knifeless" edition. There are a lot of sites and places that are getting funny about tools with knives on them and I live with a Multi-Tool as part of my regular work kit. As it becomes harder to walk around with any tools on your belt or in your pocket, at least this one should be a little more acceptable.

Leatherman Knifeless Rebar:

  • Needlenose Pliers (Great for grabbing needle noses)
  • Regular Pliers (really?)
  • Premium Replaceable Wire Cutters (Great, I hate "regular" wire cutters)
  • Premium Replaceable Hard-wire Cutters (Come off it!! See above)
  • Electrical Crimper (ie: pliers…)
  • Wire Stripper (ie: "Premium Replaceable Wire Cutters" just not as tight.)
  • Saw (Great for clearing pine plantations.)
  • Spring-action Scissors (Damn, no cabin plane ride for you!)
  • Awl w/ Thread Loop (Never used this on ANY pocket knife/multi-tool)
  • Ruler (8 in | 19 cm) (It's a rule, a ruler governs a country…)
  • Can Opener (Get into them baked beans!)
  • Bottle Opener (Impress your mates!)
  • Wood/Metal File (Do I get a choice??)
  • Phillips Screwdriver (I'll let Phillip know I got his screwdriver)
  • Large Screwdriver (as opposed to a small one?)
  • Small Screwdriver (Oh, there is it…)

Most prices for these are around the $115~$120 mark. Retail is $159 (who pays retail??) So thought it was a good price for a "safer" alternative to the usual knife enabled multi-tool

Cool Story, Bro! time:
Had my Multi-Tool stolen a few days ago after being told I could not have it on a site I went to. Left it at reception and it cant seem to be found anywhere. Went looking for "Knifeless" alternatives and found these. It was a toss up between this and the SOG Powerlever Traveler. The Leatherman won out due to its replaceable "Premium Replaceable Wire Cutters" bullcrap…

  • Cool story, bro!

Some people had really negative experiences with this seller - see the original PARKA comments

I think a good guy with a 5cm leatherman knife would be a deterrent for a bad guy with an office stapler. Trying to disarm the bad guy with pliers would be tricky.

    • Ever been gripped on the nipple with pointy nose pliers?

Let me tell you, it stops you from whistling real quick. Maybe even cause you to drop the stapler…

Got mine with knife ver from Masters closure for $20. And if this sells for $20, would buy it in a heart beat. :P

  • Does this item being knifeless mean that one may legally carry this on the street?

    • +1

You can legally carry a knife in the street as long as you have a legitimate use for it

A knife-less tool being sold from a store called knives-online….am I the only one that thinks the world has gone a little mad?

  • +1

I've bought quite a lot from knives online - they usually have good prices on swiss army and sharpening systems. Only had trouble once with something not turning up. I phoned, and talked to the dude who owned the store. He said he'd look into it. The following day was a Saturday, and a courier dropped it off; that never happens on a Saturday. My unqualified guess is that it was kept somewhere to see if there was any follow up - after a month or two if no follow up it's theirs. It was a pricey item.

  • It is a pity about the whole knife thing. Knives are the original useful tool. To me these multi tools are inocomplete without a knife. Scissors are very useful too. The other use of the awl - it has a circular blade - is for drilling holes in things.

    • While I agree in general, and I do have one with a knife, my every day tool (theiving bastards!) with the knife, I can say that I rarely ever used the knife on it. I fail to remember a time I actually did use it for work. I always thought that a multi-hex spanner type of thing would have been of more beneficial for me.

I do a lot of work at a school and there is no way I could carry the knife version of this into the school.

      • Actually, for mtb those hex key multi tools are awesome
