  • $20 to $60 discount again?

    • +1

      % not $

      • +5

They bugged up last time and gave people $20 on any purchase lol

I'm going to try! But you gotta do it at midnight/switch over.

        • Pickup as soon as they open lol

        • Aaahh I had no idea, my bad

    • +2

      won't happen since there isn't a code?

  • +31

Before you purchase, check their eBay store to see whether the item(s) you're looking at are listed.
Usually their website discounts are also made available via eBay, and you can then stack with the PENNY5 eBay code.

    • +11

I'd also recommend to sign up to Flare Rewards to get 10% off SCA cards if you don't mind the extra hassle :)

      • Can't use SCA gift cards on ebay.

        • +2

I meant on their own store as it's a bigger discount, can combine with SCA plus perks also

      • Are they e-gift cards and how long do they take to arrive?

        • +1

Yep they are, and they are delivered instantly usually

      • Cheers mate! This is going to encourage me to spend even more at SCA now.

  • +1

I don't see this advertised on the front page, is there any list of what will be discounted yet?

  • I've yet to pick up my orders from the sale on Monday. Might just cancel and reorder if it turns out cheaper in this sale

    • +2

No need, they'll store credit you the difference if its cheaper.

I bought quite a bit on Monday's 20% off online too, and was very happy to see this sale for this weekend! I doubt what I've picked up will be cheaper, but if it is… awesome.

      • No need, they'll store credit you the difference if its cheaper.

True, somewhat. I usually use trade card there. I think the refund the difference in store credit if it becomes cheaper, deal is only for standard normal club plus members.

  • +1

going to channel my inner bogan tomorrow for some bargains

    • +3

Working on your car makes you a bogan?

Makes you a man more like.

      • +2

You're not working on the Kingswood!

        • +4

Not the Kingswood! I just glad wrapped the number plate.
…leave you money on the fridge

  • Just bought a few things there the other day. Wonder if I’ll get credit back on my members card

    • I have not shopped there in awhile but they use to. I bought a suitcase combo that later went on special. I got the difference refunded as store credit.

      • +1

        suitcases at a car shop?!?

        • Yeah. Was cheap canvas 3peice has lasted well.

    • They'll definitely credit you if its cheaper. Happens automatically.

  • Need a belt drive compressor. Anyone have any experience with that?

This one is very good and is occasionally half price. Bought mine earlier this year from their ebay listing and after cashback etc it worked out at about $415.

Currently $859 but you never know, it might get a mega discount tomorrow?

    • I had a small Blackridge direct drive compressor for a few years, it was good but noisy and switched on a lot due to the low capacity. So 6 months ago i upgraded to the Blackridge belt drive here http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/Product/Blackridge-Air-Comp…

Fantastic unit, way quieter and doesnt need to come on as much with the higher capacity. It runs air tools, nail gun, does the tyres in the cars and 4wd. I got it half price.

      • I've got a cheap blackridge.

The thing I didn't realize about air compressors is that you have to empty them whenever there will be any sustained period of inactivity - e.g. 24 hours; Otherwise the water vapour in the compressed atmospheric air basically condenses into a small amount of liquid water at the bottom of your tank causing rust to form / corrosion. Thus this big handy air compressor that you spent a motza on expecting to have air always-on-hand doesn't really eventuate; each time you plan to use it, it has to be turned on and filled (which is particularly noisy for the non-belt drive units).

So realistically you have two real choices if you want air-on-demand - get a smaller compressor that is quick to fill and easy to drain, or get essentially a throw-away compressor that you know will ultimately fail in the future due to rusted tank. The issue with the latter is that the compressed air released from the tank on use often contains the rust/contaminants that were in the tank. You could also invest in some industrial compressed air dryer - but that is not very realistic.

        • Would this just be higher humidity areas? Cant say I've had much problem with vapor buildup here in northern Victoria.

        • The water vapour condenses immediately, not after any period of time. I've rarely emptied the water in mine after owning it for 10 years. Very little rust in it. Rust coming through the air line isn't really an issue either as it settles on the bottom of the tank. Are these real problems you've encountered or are you theorising?

        • All compressors build up condensation in the tanks. You will find theres a drain cock underneath your tank for this very reason. Heavy use will create water in the tank. Drain it occasionally and you will be fine. Annually is more than enough.

The only advice i would give you with an air compressor is to never turn it off at the power point while its running. Always turn it off at the on/off switch.

Source - ive sold these for years.

        • @Crown3d:

any thoughts on the air compressor being sold @ aldi a couple of months ago?

    • Yeah I bought the one freddofrog42 listed about 5 years ago. Still going strong. Wait until it's on sale, often it's like half price or something.

    • +1

Inappropriate use of negative votes? OzBargain says NYET!

    • -1

      это хорошая сделка

  • Use 8% off sca gift cards for purchases as well. Suncorp marketplace app gives them. (Just sign up for account even if you dont own products with them).

  • Anyone have any guess what time tomorrow this starts? Midnight?

  • -2

Are there even any deals, I generally find supercheaps regular pricing expensive.

    • -3

      Guess u shop at repco

    • +1

You find Supercheap's regular pricing expensive? I can't imagine what you think of their competitors!

Man… if you're going to troll, you gotta be at least partially credible.
I don't think I've ever heard anyone describe Supercheap pricing as "expensive". Ever.

Unlike EBay, when Supercheap have a sale they don't inflate the prices to counter the discount… and when they have storewide sales like this, there are A LOT of bargains to be had.

      • +1

On parts they are expensive compared to Ebay sellers. Recently purchased a pair of FG falcon front DBA rotors. Ebay seller $102 delivered. Supercheap was $184 delivered.

        • +1

Did you buy the rotors from an Australian seller?

Supercheap will price beat it. Even EBay/Online.
Just show them in store to verify and away you go.

          http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/helpdesk/customer-service/p…

(they've even got a picture of disc rotors as one of the examples :).)

        • @UFO:

          Yes from Aussie seller.
Will definitely do this next time unless it's like Dan Murphy's and they take 5 cents off to beat. Not worth the effort to not support a small business and time wasted.
Is the price beat a new thing though? Only saw the in store advertising last week.
          Cheers

      • +3

They constantly inflate prices and then "drop" them for sales. All the time.

Stanley belt driven compressor jumps around by up to 100% price increase, then they have a sale. Source: I watched the prices for 8 months before I bought mine.

They do the same with socket sets.

They list things as "sold out" online and in-store after you've got to checkout. Check 2 hours later and your can still put that sold out item into your cart… So have they restocked? Nope. Try to check out. Nada. It's sold out. Go to the store 24 hours later to pick up what you could actually buy and, just for giggles, count the stock on the shelf that is supposed to be sold out.

It was never sold out. They're playing you.

        • +1

I can confirm, was looking for 20L Jerry Cans the other day, around $20-21, now they are apparently $32 normally and $25.59 on sale!!! what a dodgy con!

        • @Felixrising:

Their cheap Jerry Can is not good, Get the kamrt one and it is $20 everyday price

  • +2

Link to the last similar deal so that you know what to expect

    • -1

      …. Removed

  • Online version of email that was sent to members today re the sale:

    http://view.e.supercheapauto.com.au/?qs=088d61e9afef43e61570…

  • the toolpro sockets on rails are going to be 60% off. i will be buying a full set of shallow and deep metric in all drives! lifetime warranty, 12 point sockets. too cheap and will go nicely with my 6 point stuff, and i can abuse the hell out of these. $160 rrp for metric, short and deep in all three drives. 60% off means $64 for it all!

  • +2

All the normal items are still full price? Maybe the website is still updating?

  • +2

The Item I want is still normal price???

Obviously the discount is Not on everything…

Everything I want from supercheap is not on sale lol

    • Same here.

  • +2

Loyalty Credit doesn't seem to be reflecting in my account - bought stuff during their 20% off sale which is now 40% off, but they are not giving me the difference back?? :/

  • Believe that loyalty credit expires in your account after possibly 28 days.

  • +3

A lot of car care stuff seams full priced to me. I thought it was everything on sale.

    • Same ☹️

  • +1

just bought this package. seems ok for price
    http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/Product/SCA-Oil-Drain-Pan-S…

  • Car part has no discount, store wide with minimum 20% off but car part is excluded?

  • +3

    This is not store wide

    • Look at their main banner, 20-60% off everything in the store…(baring the usual exclusions like gift cards)

      • I not sure what you are trying to say

Bowden's own care care is full price and is not on the exclusion list

      • Not everything. e.g. All Meguiar's products are full price.

    • yes ive got some prices written down about a week ago (suspension spare parts) and there is no price difference

  • where are the deals… ?? :(

  • No deals… Only about 30 shitty overpriced items are 60% off - as such I feel the deal is misleading and not a bargain.

  • +2

I posted this deal and I have to say I’m so disappointed. This one appears to be a gimmick rather than an actual sale!

    • May be this discount is to recoup the $20 discount

    • See my post below. Stores are honouring discount but discounts haven’t been loaded centrally into system.

  • +1

Car car products are not on sale
    This is not storewide

  • +1

how can they say its a store wide sale when its not?

  • The headlight restorer I wanted not on sale

    • What headlight restorer? Have you tried toothpaste and brush?

  • Store stock only maybe that's why they don't have any offers for spare parts?

  • +2

I popped into Gregory Hills this morning and some of my goods didn’t scan with discount. They looked and saw that discounts hadn’t been loaded by head office. The did confirm that all products were minimum 20% off and manually over rode prices to give me discount. They called their support line and it was engaged. Assume that this will be fixed when the web dev kid wakes up from his Saturday morning Jim beam induced hangover.

  • Car care products all not on sale even though it says minimum 20% store wide.
    Weird

  • +1

There is a major issue with SCA. They are saying 20% minimum storewide however this is false

    • Website glitch. I'm at the store now and it's 20%off storewide.

      • so who determines if it is 20%off or 60%off or anywhere in between

    • @tith Theres some issues with online order. I placed a order it crashed and deducted from my account.
Had to call customer service and ended up blowing up at the lady on phone because they told me to re try again i cant force your order through or refund back. You have to wait until it cancels online. Seriously?

  • -1

    Discounts have now been applied.

  • Looks like they have updated their discounts on the website

  • No discount applied to the Gladiator Premier 7 Drawer Roll Away Tool Chest.

  • -2

    No discounts anywhere….

    • Having just been in SCA store I can confirm everything as stated on the website is on special, even if the price does not reflect it on the ticket. I will be applied on checkout.

  • Looks it was a website glitch
Sites showing discount 20% all products
