Wow. It looks like a windows tablet but it actually run on Android. Is it a tablet with a phone CPU ?

The VOYO i8 Plus is the perfect all-rounder tablet PC.
One of the best features of the VOYO i8 Plus tablet computer is the two SIM card slots. These bring superb connectivity to cellular networks as each supports 2G,3G, and 4G. Not only does this make calls possible on the device but you can also enjoy the fastest mobile data connectivity around.

What they meant is - what sort of processor is in the tablet? It’s not an Intel i5 etc so is it a processor you’d find in a smartphone?

        • +1

Predominately phones but some tablets as well.

          Apologies for misunderstanding the question.
The processor is Octa Core MTK6753. This processor is widely used for smart devices including mobiles and tablets.

        • @Clear: Thanks mate!

  • yes, also the dual sim is not dual standby, only 1 sim really since 2G is done here

  • July is title improvement month.

    • In future, please mention the store/retailer in the title.

That's been fixed. Moderators and power users spend time fixing titles throughout the day and any help is appreciated. Thanks for posting!

    • Thanks Neil. Will make sure it will be included in further posts.

I dont know anything about these or specs. But if this works good for browsing, watching movies and fast typing.

It would. Be the perfect travel companion

Why would i spend 1kplus on a surface

      to run windows apps?

      • If we're playing that game;
why do that when you can run Linux apps instead?

Honestly, I realised the other day (and a few non geek mates agreed too!) Everything I use is 'better on Linux' or came from linux.

        VLC player.
        Libre Office
        Pidgin Messenger
        GIMP
        Steam+DOTA2
        Chromium
        Thunderbird.
        TeamViewer.

It all "Just Worked" and for the lay person, I was now "Virus Proof".

Windows can bite me now, I didn't know until recently how truly easy Linux had gotten (specifically, mint).

    • Android 7? I doubt you'll see this going to Oreo or anything higher.

    • +1

If all you need is browsing and watching movies then any 10" tablet from the past several years would work fine, there's a lot of cheaper options.

If you want fast typing, buy a laptop.

      • Seriously, there must be a tablet that you can type like a business machine without the price tag

        • you can on most tablets, the attraction with this deal is that it includes the keyboard, ipads and the new Microsoft surface tablet are both close to,the $500. ark and you. still need to spend $120+ for the original keyboards .

so this would be 1/2 the price and include a keyboard.

probably ok for people using google apps which are cloud based, and who are predominantly used to android phones.

problem i didn’t with android is it goes end of life for upgrades after 2 years, and companies loose interest quickly in software support once sales level off.

pity this doesn’t come with oreo and treble and Android One.

It is cheaper at Geekbuying $277

    • +1

      beat me

    • +1

      Except for one crucial part…

P.S.:The keyboard and stylus is not included.

  • Above ^ cheaper, but just the fact this is a cheap ass phone SoC, with rather small battery for a tablet and only 3GB of RAM, this belongs in the bin.

    • -2

yeah this… i'm fine with cheap Mtk soc tablets under $200 or atom win10 units but above $300 ia getting quite silly

you're better off working with a 6" phone which will most likely have a better spec or going with a proper win10 tablet of some sort

the day of android tablets is over… according to google no less

      • the keyboard is the appeal, you can sit in a cafe and type letters, and respond to emails properly, and see the browser on a fill screen, it’s FHD and. couple of extra rows down the bottom 1920x1200 10” …..kills a 6” phone for useablity if you are sitting down

  • +1

    What is this crap?

More Chinese junk that belongs in the trash can

    • +1

      What's not Chinese?

    • aimed at people that don’t won a windows laptop or mac, are android users so familiar with the interface, and also need to do a bit computing at home , cafes or on holidays with greater comfort than using a phone.

i’m not a google apps users, but i know not everybody wants to pay for an office 365 subscriptionfor a laptop.

if outlook word and excel from the playstore are enough for a user, then this device is ok.

but it needs Android One so you don’t depend on manufacturer as much.

  • Great 10.1 Inch Tablet PC

More like the definition or garbage?

  • If you're not bothered about the keyboard, you can save $50 and get an Oreo model with more RAM and a better screen. https://www.gearbest.com/tablet-pcs/pp_1830880.html?wid=1433….
