  • Doesn’t work or leads to nothing for me? Also why would you sign up Amazon US since they don’t send to Australia anymore ?

    • Sorry the link looks like specific to the email invite. You could check your Amex portal to see if you had received this offer. This membership also includes prime video which could be accessed from here for few of their series. A US VPN would do the rest, I hope.

      • I found no matter what VPN I use amazon prime video fails to stream when I use it. The content is American etc but if I try and watch something it won’t stream.
A quick look around on forums etc shows it’s a common issue when using a VPN.

        • I use both getflix and dns4me, both work with my fire tv box with no issues to access US content on my US prime account (has been working flawlessly for a few years).

Are you using a US prime account when trying to access US content with your vpn or are you using an Oz prime account when trying to access US content?

        • @tlaing:
American account. Was paying for us prime (for twitch) for ages.
The three VPNs I used said that amazon has awesome detection software and will block steaming via VPN.
I did manage to get it to work through express VPN but the content was ass so didn’t care in the end lol.

Access to prime video and audiology.

  • Any benefits to the US trial over the AUS one? Other than an extra couple of months.

  • I got this in my email too. Not sure if its any use?

  • Not much use unless you use a freight forwarder.

    • Freight forwarder's minimum cost is approx. AUD$50, plus they will charge you GST as well.

You can usually get amazon prime for free for 2 months at any time (just cancel before the first month trial is over and they usually attempt to offer you another month free to try and stop you canceling).

Got this this morning. Signed up and watched episode 1 of the Grand Tour.

    • Did you use a VPN?

      • +1

        No.

    • Playing fine through browser, haven't got any of the Kodi plugins to work successfully yet though..
Stumbled across Jean-Claude Van Johnson, halfway through the pilot episode…

  • Slightly off topic, but was looking at Amazon author last night for things to spend my $10 credit for watching that video… Nothing is any cheaper than eBay, with the vast majority of things more expensive.

What a disappointment, I feel like my dreams for the future have been crushed, and I am now directionless and empty - any bargains?

    • Australian live at present, not to the future. Ha-ha.

      • I knew I was doing it wrong. XD

  • Does anybody know whether there is a difference between this and Australian Prime.

I try going to the AU site to buy something and it doesn't acknowledge my Prime. It's asks me to sign up for 30 day free trial when I have already subscribed to the Amex 3 month deal.
