        • Oh bugger.
          Missed that.
          Thanks for that.

        • @Bippz01: Should update the post with the cheaper link :)

        • @55:
          Done.
          Cheers mate.

        • @Bippz01:

Platypus doesn't work with that seller!

I see the error below when trying it there.

"Looks like that's the wrong code. Please double-check and try again."

        • @xuqi:

Platypus expired at 12 AM mate.
Only PICKITUP till 12 am tomorrow.

          Cheers.

        • @Bippz01:

          Oh, ok, thanks.

    • Fantastic price with the PICKITUP code. I paid A$600.00 last September for the 960 Pro model. This is a great performer and this newer model has even better specs. If you are after a high end product and are needing a unit that is super fast and handle the grunt work, then go for it. I am almost tempted to buy one for my next pc build, but I need to pull my horns in for a while and re-stock my bank account ;)

  • where are the 2.5" sata ssd deals

  • there were lots of deals on 2.5” ssd over the past 3 weeks on ebay, especially with ebay kicking in to lay for discounts … did you miss out thinking they would get even cheaper this week ?

with most newer laptops and mother boards how having m.2 nvme slots , there are still only a few manufactuers and that is keeping prices high ….eg we save 1tb ssd for $250 during the ebay sales but 1 tb m.2 nvme are still $450+ ….same amount. of nand ….

only cheap nvme has been pricing errors.

  • Nice.

I took a look at benchmarks and it seems 1TB is where 970 Evo peaks in performanc3.

There is a performance gain going from 256GB to 500GB, another performance gain from 500GB to 1TB, but from 1TB to 2TB there is virtually no improvement.

That makes 1TB the more desirable NVME SSDs. I wonder why 2TB offers no noticeable improvements though, does it saturate the NVME M.2 port transfer speeds or is the chipsets used on 970 Evo at its maximum for 1TB?
