  I'm amazed! There are really people out there who like, gulp, beetroot? Is there a fan club that meets in a phone box somewhere? ;)

    Actually, if you're not into canned beetroot, you really should try fresh roasted beets, the flavour & texture are significantly different, yet strangely similar.

    I'm salivating just thinking about it, they're the nicest roast vegies you'll ever have…simple too, clean whole baby beets (skin on) or peeled quartered large ones into a baking dish, couple of whole squashed cloves of garlic, some cracked pepper, good drizzle of olive oil, bake in moderately hot oven…easier than pie!

    The greens off the top make awesome salad too! :)
