Time to get 25.50% discount on uber eats. Thanks OP.

    • how?

      • +2

        lol

      • +2

        20% on this offer ($10 in FB points) + 5% coles egc ($2.50) + 50 FB points ($0.25 in FB points) = $12.75 discount (25.50%)

Not included in calculations is points you earn on credit card purchases (eg another 94 FB points i.e. $0.47 if you have coles $99 pa cc)

        • +4

thank you for your kindness to demonstrate how.

        • +1

but the ubereats delivery fee would have cost more than the 25% discount……..

        • +1

@oracle365: Couldn’t agree more. Use it for Uber trips instead, uberpool if possible to save even more.

        • can you use gift card to purchased another gift card? it rejected my gift card payment a couple of weeks ago when i purchased another gc.

      Kogan use vodafone tho

      • +2

        Which is better than Optus

        • +3

Really, I always thought it went Telstra, Optus then Vodafone?

        • +7

@yacman: For me it is Optus, Telstra, then Vodafone. It depends where you live and what you do.

        • +2

@Daabido: Failstra. It has failed many more times than what is seen in the media.

        • @zealmax: Probably. I am old enough to remember the COTS cases where Telstra ineptitude ruined businesses. You may or may not know about that. I don't get wrapped up in who failed what and when. There are three main providers and I just ranked as they worked for me. That may change in the future and it might not.

          https://www.itnews.com.au/news/aca-targets-telstra-over-cots…

        • +3

I don't live in a metro area, so Vodafone aren't even an option

        • @Daabido: And then taking years to figure out how to make packets actually move over their failed rollout of an ADSL network over Infrastructure they owned, maintained and were responsible for. When their authentication worked, which was nowhere never very often…

And some think the share price can't get any worse! Why not? I'd bey most long term customers know better than market analysts on that one ;-)

        • @Wampus:
Vodafone is great in Broken Hill. I seem to get good 4G reception anywhere that I might reasonably expect it. Vodafone are a different operation since their problems of some years back. They have the best global roaming deal, bar none, as far as I can tell

  • Is this the best deal for a prepaid SIM on Optus?

    • I've been looking and looks as though it is. Amaysim second perhaps off the top of my head.

Optus store tells me their native customers min $40/40 days) get preference on towers over wholesale (such As these) but who knows what the difference is. Optus retail staff are useless.

      • +3

I very much believe that staff member was telling a porky. Yes, there are certain companies that only have access to certain parts of the wholesaler's network, but if they have access to the same part, Optus isn't going to analyse each individual packet and prioritise their customers. That's just nuts.

        • +1

I don't think it would be difficult for them to tell which traffic is coming from which customer. They need to check it for billing purposes anyway.

        • +1

It's not so difficult… They already confirm your sim as being active or not every time you use it plus they have to know the reseller for billing purposes. Right there they have enough to automatically prioritise traffic.
But being able to does not mean that it is actually done. Who knows for sure?

  • Can i port my number on coles prepaid offert?

    • Yes

  • Is this 42gb/month or year?

    • +8

Depends how quickly you go through the data.
But the validity should be 365 days according to the post.

  • I wonder what an uber receipt looks like when using a voucher? I use uber a lot for work so would happily buy a few hundred dollars to get the points. Might look dodgy on an expense claim though.

    • Only one lot of points per flybuys account (not card if your account has four cards like mine) so you'd need a lot of flybuys accounts in order to buy "a few hundred"

    • -1

Under the “Your Fare” section, where it would normally have the credit card logo and last 4 numbers, it just has a Uber logo and the word “Credits”.

    • +1

On the email receipt, it shows as:

      "CHARGED Uber credits A$25.76" (example)

The word Uber is replaced with its logo.

      • +1

Not sure why I was negged but that is how the receipt will be.

had Coles mobile for around 6 months, consistent voice quality (about 95% of fidelity compared to Hellstra when it is actually working) Consistent data speed about 89% as fast as the big one. So far quite happy.

  • Too bad this coles mobile offer does not include international call…

  • Does anyone know if these uber cards can be used for uber eats? Havnt seen the packaging to answer my own question

  • How do we get the $160 price? Coles are still showing $180.

    • +2

My wife bought this today and it scanned as $160…

      • +1

I bought one for my wife today. Like their website, the staff knew nothing about the $160 price but it scanned at that.

Is anyone else having trouble getting the 2000 flybuys points for buying the $50 Uber gift card? It normally processes next day, but I've waited 3 days now and no points posted to my account yet…

    • Still waiting as well. Brought my Uber gift card on Friday. Flybuys website says

Points collected with most of our major retail partners will be added to your account usually within one or two days. For other partners, you may need to allow a week or so, and for bonus point promotions the time will vary - please check the terms and conditions of the relevant promotion.

      • Maybe they didn't activate it properly? I'm going to assume that there's only one type of Uber card (like not Uber Gift Card, Uber Eats Gift Card, etc.); some people got confused when there's an Ultimate Kids/Ultimate Teen promo and accidentally buy the wrong type and don't end up getting the points.

If you have Facebook, try message the Flybuys page and ask them. They're pretty helpful

        • +1

Thanks for your comments! Yes only one type for Uber, I made sure I bought the exact card as that advertised. Might wait till next week before I ask them on Facebook, in case it's just a delayed processing!

      • Thanks, please share if and when you get your points! I bought one during the last few uber promotions as well and they always posted points within the next day, hence was a bit worried…

    • Still nothing as well. Bought on Saturday. Anyone else been credited the points?

      • Still waiting as well.

      • +2

Have you guys tried asking the Flybuys Facebook page via Messenger for assistance or Flybuys for assistance? Seems like this promo wasn't set up properly …

        • +2

Thanks I took your advice. Just finished with Flybuys on Messenger and they have added my bonus points to my account, should be visible with 48 hours.

        • +1

          @melbourne guy:
I have the points now. It shows on my flybuys activity as "Call Centre Adjustment!" lol

        • @melbourne guy: Yeah, mine says the same thing when I complained that I bought two bags of Allen's and didn't get my 100 points.

Steering back on topic: I must have went to like six different Coles across Sydney but couldn't find the $50 Dymocks Gift Cards, only the $30 ones.

      • +2

Flybuys have said that "Just confirming we identified an issue with the setup of this promotion. Those who purchased this card (and the Dymocks card) should have their points credited over the next day or so. Sorry for the inconvenience."

        • +1

The promotion was set up against the wrong SKU (item number). They are now manually identifying who purchased the cards and adding the points manually.

        • @gadgetguy:

          Waiting for my points still

        • @Jimothy:

Me too. I called the call centre and they are now denying there's any issue and that I have to wait 4 weeks. Totally 'king useless.

This is despite me knowing the root cause from a contact direct at Coles HQ (as above).

        • @gadgetguy: I got my points. Didnt contact FB at all. System auto gave me the points

        • @Turd:

I got mine too but it took almost 2 weeks. Which is ridiculous.

  • I called flybuys and she said she does not have Coles catalouge and told me to send to her via email. Does anyone here encounter the same?
