Those SIM cards need to be activated within 30 days…. and need to wait for a few months to receive the cashback
Isn't it unfair to give us negative vote about our deal?

  • -4

Yes, this is hardly a deal.

  • +1

What's the expiry date one these?

    • +7

      SIM expiry date: 31/03/2026

  • +8

If you need to activate the sim relatively soon, it’s Much cheaper from this ozb deal.

This not a neg at OP, but merely to let others know there’s better deals.

    • +3

You better watch out, those negs will be at yours shortly too

I received the same treatment when I said it was cheaper via Boost directly and got neg bombed

      • +1

Yes i saw & I concur with your comments before.
It was entirely fair & this is OZB after all.

        • How did my comment receive 3 negs while yours didn’t lol

          • +3

@BargainsGrabber: I recall seeing about 5 negs before it got deleted.

            Dont take it to heart.
If you checkout my comment over at the recent Alltrails post, you’ll see i was negged into the ground for warning folks about the app’s well-known critical flaw 🤷🏻

            People are just weird sometimes.
I however appreciate the many useful deals you post.

You run the risk of not getting any cashback though from that deal, and having to wait for ages.

Basically you pay either $30 to have everything 100% set up and guaranteed, or you wait 3-4 months and potentially save $30 (or pay $30 more).

It's actually not as simple as you make it out to be. I'd actually think this deal makes more sense for more people. Waiting for months and potentially getting rejected for $30 doesn't seem worth it for me.

      • Bit of a correction on your end: it is either you save $35 or lose $25.

That said, I’ve never had problems with tracking and getting cashback from TCB & CR.

My recently purchased boost sim got tracked for $65 easily, likewise my past purchases albeit varying amounts. As long as i follow the t&c’s: turn off adblockers, activate the service on time & dont deactivate the service prematurely: i always get my cashback paid.

That being said, i understand not everyone can clearly follow instructions or situations exist outside their control.

Either way, it IS simple & cost effective for me and clearly tons of other customers. Unlike yourself, its makes sense & worthwhile to us that wants to activate the service soon.

Plenty of people have their TCB cashback rejected or not tracked. At end of day it's not guaranteed, and that's the main issue here to point out as the risk. There's people within the thread you linked that have had issues with Boost themselves as well (not TCB) making them ineligible for the cashback.

I do have to recharge myself in next 30 days but relying on cashback to make it worthwhile actually makes the TCB deal unattractive. General advice from OzB is to buy the best deal possible and assume cashback is NOT going to happen. Otherwise you'll end up as a cashback horror story.

@DingoBilly: I’ve long moved on, mate.

Nonetheless, glad you’re happy with your purchase 👍

  • The current catch deal seems better but let's not forget that some pagans will get their knickers in a knot over coverage. Thankfully I'm good on both networks !

  • How are you getting new stock? I thought these are discontinued from Boost/Telstra?

    • +2

The $230 SIM was discontinued, not the $300 SIM

This is still being sold via Boost directly

  • I have bought a sim card from your company. It has this in the description:
$230 Prepaid boost SIM (170GB) Sim Expiry date 11-04-2026 (Customer Expiry Date starts from the sim activation).

I have emailed you but received no reply.
My question was, do I have until 11-04-2026 to activate this card.

Could you please provide me the answer?

    • +4

Yes - the expiry 11/4/2026 is for the SIM, which you have until then to activate

    • Hi yes, you can activate the SIM before its expiry date 11/04/2026. But please avoid doing it on the last day, because previously some customers had issues activating it on the last day.

  • +4

Thanks I’d rather take this and not mess around with cash back. I’ve had bad luck before

Anyone else feel Boosts reception has gone to the shitter lately? Im in the northwen suburbs of perth. But work in the city and its just as shit there.

  • Ok I have tried the other Sims that uses the Telstra Network, why is Boost slower than the JBHiFi, Belong, Telstra etc…does anyone else have same experience?

  • boost prepaid SIM company have sold to the Telstra company in 2024
The coverage is the same with Telstra

  • Noob qns is this for new customers only and I have to port out and back in for activation?

    • I want to know this too. I'm currently with telstra

    • yes, if you are with Boost currently, you will need to port it out and back. But if you are with Telstra, you can just port it to Boost.

  • https://luckymobile.com.au/mobile-plus/product/prepaid-boost… is this one 170GB or 160GB? It says one thing on the image and another at the description
