You don't actually need to switch electricity, you can simply switch Gas.
I have just switched from Red Energy Gas to Amaysim Gas and will be saving about $30 on my Gas bills + 2 free phone plans!
Total savings: $1160 per year

Actually I have spent some time calculating to make sure I would not spend more. Turns out Red Energy was more expensive.

Amaysin Gas4 plan: 43.000 c/day

I called them last week and they said that you get only 5% discount with the mobile plan offer. In my situation I was not going to save any money. Actually I would end up paying them more than what I am paying to my current provider (Lumo).
I would have had to pay more also if I was switching Electricity, but Gas worked out better for me.
So it's not "free" after all.
I think it is really dependent on individual circumstances. If I switch electricity, it will cost about $400 more per year. Still a small saving but not as much.
Also important to note, if you have existing Amaysim Mobile, it will all need to be under the same account. So your 2 mobiles under the same login.

Wow I was legit interested, but when I had a look bthe per MJ charge is more than double my current provider!
It is a pretty good deal for low usage gas customers.
What they also dont tell you, is you arent eligible for the 32% pay on time discount. For the phones plan, its only a 9% pay on time.
Exactly. I just called and started the sign up. I asked about the QLD 20% discount - they told me that with the phone offer it would only be 5%. So there's nothing free about it
