Great for mounting to your helmet while you are extreme sporting.

    • this or the xiaomi??

    • while you are extreme sporting

      Yolo-ing

Be warned, this stuff tastes like cement.

    • +2

Agreed, was very disappointed with it when I tried it. Taste and consistency was horrible, will be sticking to Chobani even if it's loaded with sugar

    • +4

It's delicious! It has a slight consistency of rice pudding due to the ingredients and tastes slightly lemony.

    • +4

This texture/consistency is much more akin to home made yoghurt if you don't add the whey (liquid) back - a nice thick rich product. Granted everyone is much more used to the thin custard texture of typical yoghurt.

I personally find the vanilla one quite tasty, without the 15g of sugar that other ones have. This does use stevia…but hey.

      • I stir it back in before eating it. It's thick and creamy. Gotta say it's become a breakfast staple at OMGO'clock starts at work.

Vanilla one is nice with a little bit of something crunchy on top too.

    • +3

Yup. Taste is…… subpar. Though I eat it for the protein content, not really for taste…

      • Agree… Chobane taste better amd has better texture but goea off too easy

      • +1

        @HighAndDry Thats what she said.

        • Hahaha… uh, i mean groan…

    • Yep, I bought it to try once; never again.

Probably means its good for you though - seems the worse yoghurt tastes, the better for you it is.

    • +1

I still have 7 of them in my fridge from the last special. I was a freakin moron for buying 10 of them thinking they would be a fraction as delicious as chobani.

The taste I would give them is bitter milk weeks past expiry that's been covered up with an overwhelming taste of artificial sweetner with barely a hint, like leaves you even wondering if there's any actual flavoring of what's printed on the tub.

      Seriously these things are disgusting!!

    • It tastes ok, but it is filling and doesn't have a boatload of sugar like the others.

This I am happy to give my child (that and Tamar Valley kids) Everything else has 5x the sugar at least(Even the kids stuff).

      • Yopro Passionfruit has 6.6g sugar and Chobai Passionfruit has 15.2g sugar, that's not "5x the sugar at least" as you wrote, it's a little over double. Other flavors like Mango Yopro have 7g sugar.

Considering the difference with the passionfruit flavor is 8g, 2 measly teaspoons of sugar, it's a drop in the ocean (or a drop in a 600ml bottle of coke that contains 65g of sugar) difference for something that tastes so much worse.

        • +1

It all adds up though. If it is ok to have 8g extra sugar in your small yoghurt tub, then why not in every item that you consume?

        • @murphinator69:

Why not put 8g extra of sugar in every item? If you need that answered for you then, well, actually it makes sense you're a CFC supporter.

I made the comparison between disgusting yopro yogurt vs delicious chobani for the sake of 8g sugar per serving, not every item. Certain people love spreading misinformation like chobi contains 5 times the amount of sugar when it contains double (which in the scheme of things, 8g extra per tub of yogurt isn't much at all when looking at how much sugar is in a can/bottle of coke or even a small fruit juice).

I'm not old, fat, sedentary or have a predisposition to diabetes - so as long as I brush my teeth it makes more sense for me to enjoy the yogurt, rather than feel like I want to throw up as I eat it.

If you are old, fat, sedentary, have bad teeth, ect ect ect, then sure.. you've had a whole life of stuffing up so now you have to pay by watching every single gram of sugar you put in your body.

        • Aren't we particular lol.

Go pick up most yoghurts and look at the sugar content 20+ grams. chobani does use less sugar than most but that is still a huge amount. Also the Tamar valley is 4 grams so yeah 4x lol.

Also toddlers are only supposed to eat less than 20 grams of sugar per day so yeah it is a lot.

          @kasp:

YoPro is pumped full of 'stevia leaf extract'. Go have a look, it's written on the tub. Have a read about what that is if you don't already know, and decide if you want your toddler having natural sugar or artificial sweeteners. No wonder it causes so many people to think it tastes like wet cement. There doesn't appear to be any artificial sweeteners listed on a tub of Chobani.

Enjoy eating YoPro knowing the only way they could get away with such a low sugar content yet still have it tasting like crap is to pump it full of artificial sweeteners. I'm sure your toddler will appreciate you pumping them full of artificial sweeteners because you're so anti sugar.

        • Why do you even care? Why has what I said upset you?

You are talking about what you like and all power to you you don't like the taste and that is pretty subjective.

I am talking about the sugar levels for toddlers yet you feel the need to jump in and have a go and make a point when it really isn't relevant to you at all.

Nice strawman where did I say I was anti sugar? Is because I am against loading my kids with sugar levels past what is recommended mean I am anti sugar? Does that make you are pro loading kids up with sugar past their recommended levels? SO I guess you are pro children obesity then lol. (Of course I don't really think you are that but thought I would use some of the same logic reversed) :)

@c0balt: I'm not old, fat, sedentary or have a predisposition to diabetes… but I reduce sugar content from the foods I eat wherever I can (excluding things like chocolate/actual sweets).

I actually really enjoy YoPro. After a quick stir, I think it has a nice moussey texture and an enjoyable slightly sweet taste. Maybe because I have less sugar in my diet I can enjoy something that isn't full to the brim of sugar?

        • @murphinator69:

When put rationally like you just did, it makes a lot more sense than just the anti-sugar argument. If you enjoy it, then that's the end of it. I wish I could enjoy the taste - I'd get more protein and less sugar per serving of yogurt if I could. FWIW my normal day to day diet has less than the RDI of added sugar, but I still can't seem to not want to puke when I taste artificial sweetener. It tastes too sweet in a bad way for me. I wish it didn't.

          Enjoy your YoPro :)

          @kasp:

You said that Chobani contains at least 5x the amount of sugar of YoPro, yet it was 2x and you made no mention of the artificial sweetener that YoPro has. I'm against misinformation and lies. You are anti sugar if you are going to promote an item on the basis it contains less sugar than the competition yet contains artificial sweetener. You used the amount of sugar contained in a serving of yogurt as your baseline for how healthy the product is. I have a problem with people who crusade against anything when they spread misinformation; from Yogurt to property settlements to how RAM is allocated in a computer. I see a lie and I can't help but provide a source against it so that other's who see your comments have correct information to reference.

I love the texture of this stuff. I've always preferred thicker consistency. So much nicer to eat.

I felt like I had struck gold when I found this product and made the switch away from Chobani.

    • +1

      I think they taste great

    I prefer the Aldi yoghurt

  • +1

Chobani is $1.12 at Woolies atm.

    • +5

Most of the chobanis are full of sugar.

      • According to this post, YoPro has more sugar in the plain variety.

        • Plain yoghurt won't (shouldn't!) have any added sugar. This will likely be the lactose.

Flavoured Chobani etc will have a lot of added sugar, this one doesn't (it does cheat a bit by adding stevia I think)

        • @incipient:

Looking at the ingredients listed on the yogurt pots, it is YoPro who adds stevia and not Chobani as you suggested would be the case.

      • Well yeah, they don't want 95% of the population to take a bite and then consider puking - as is the case with YoPro.

  • Tasteless…stick to chobani

  • Thanks! The flavoured ones are just nasty with that stevia aftertaste, but the plain yopro is a pleasant alternative to plain chobani. I stock up on whichever is on sale.

Absolutely one of the healthiest yoghurt on market. If u look at other yoghurt, lots of sugar and little protein.

  • +1

The only flavored yogurt that isn't packed with sugar. Picked up 25 last time and just ran out yesterday so perfect timing.
