Similar to this deal.
But 2 for $1! Unsure if nation wide or WA only.
Whoops is just the beginning.
I had 3 Click LED globes from Bunnings died in 2 months, they are cheap for a reason
Regardless of price they should last longer than a few months, Bunnings sell a lot of crap.
That means it is 2 for $12 if each lasts 2 months when avg Philips lasts 2 years. $6 each isn't cheap also taking into the consideration time time wasted on replacing them.
My 8x Philips Hue are 4 years old… still going.
2 for $6…
@koganei: 2 months is 1/12 of 24months so the cheap 2 for $1 bulbs if you replace it every 2 months instead of buying a good brand lasts 2 years you in fact paying an equivalent cost of 2 for $12 to get 2 years of use.
@wtfnodeal: But there's two of them…so 2 for $1 lasts 4 months…24 months / 4 months = $6…
@koganei: 1 is $0.50 and lasts 2 months, therefore 2 years will need 12 of them which means $6 for to last 2 years. 2 globes for 2 years = $12. I did say 2 for $12 to get 2 years of use and I meant both run at the same time. A good Philips globe for less than $6 can last 2 years so this isn't a good deal.
@wtfnodeal: Maths was never one of your strong subjects, was it…?
Why would you calculate it as BOTH running at the same time for two years and compare it to ONE Philips globe running for two years…?
@koganei: I didn't neg but if you insist that you are correct consult mathnerd
@wtfnodeal: I don't need to consult anyone to know that I am correct.
they die in a click…..
Click click boom
They are supposedly 800 lumens but I'd say they are more like 600….very dim. I tried one and didn't like it.
Definitely not in Launceston TAS. Might just be WA only. But for that price I would be sceptical.
Definitely not in Launceston TAS
I think that's because in Tasmania they don't have any electricity.
In 1895 Launceston had the first commercial electricity scheme in Australia. Launceston became the first city in Australia to have electric street lights!
And there was no stopping them from that point, look how far Launceston has come in just 123 years!
Tamworth had electric street lights in 1888

No Click bulbs showing on site for Brisbane either. Haven't seen in local stores for a long time.
What's the price for the Duracell batteries? Cut off unfortunately. My AA are all Eneloop, but I didn't get enough AAA…
I once loved Duracell batteries - they were so reliable.
I will never ever buy another Duracell battery - EVERY time I open of my kids toys that have Duracell batteries I'm greeted with oozing battery acid.
On the other hand, I've never had any leakage from cheap Varta or similar.
Gone are the days of good Duracell batteries.
I'm sorry to hear that, and thanks for the warning.
The only way from stopping this for the future is to take them to task under the ACL: https://www.accc.gov.au/consumers/consumer-rights-guarantees… and https://www.accc.gov.au/business/treating-customers-fairly/c…
If any of the toys have been damaged, the seller of the batteries (and if they pass the issue up the chain) Duracell are liable to pay for it.
Ah, thanks for the heads up.
I'm a bit lazy so unlikely to go to the effort, but nice to know!
Energizer will replace if they leak
http://www.energizer.com/about-batteries/no-leaks-guarantee
Get the ikea eneloop clones (forgot name). If ikea in your state.
The varta are good. Get energizer in bulk packs when on sale at supermarkets.
Ladda.
Could be a government funded initive (sp?)
Good for low use areas where lights not used regularly used or brightness not critical. Eg, some hallways, cupboards etc.
Cheap though.
I replaced the 60w incandescent globes in my pergola lighting (14 lamps - 840w total) with 9w 800lmn LED globes 126w total (Lucia Belle brand)
That's some significant energy saving right there and brighter to boot!
I think they are just average globes and Bunnings are clearing stock. I remember seeing an ozbargain post a while back that they had a few recalls.
I picked up about 10 for $1 each. I had a number of globes to replace for an end of lease so it was perfect!
3 bucks in Bunning website.
https://www.bunnings.com.au/click-10w-806lm-led-a-shape-glob…
Site now shows 50 cents each
Seems not for qld, site says $3 each.
Stafford QLD has them for 50cents each.
Click bait?
Bunnings Mile End SA had a couple of cardboard display units set up with these in their entrance this evening, with signs saying 50c cents each.
On the site, it shows 50c ea for me too.
50c each in melb. Picked up a dozen of these in Port Melbourne as they are too cheap to pass
Midland has them at the front of the store
They are at the self-serve checkouts. Still ~200 left - no BC; most are warm white ES; not sure how many cool white ES there are.
Plenty of stock in Chatswood by the tills
Bayswater is out of stock of all four varieties. The Bunnings website incorrectly states that three of the varieties are in stock.
still some in midlands, wa
none everywhere else.
Click 10W LED 806lm = about 50 watts - pretty dim
Whoops!
