  • Decent price. I suppose you could just plug an Australian power plug into the back of it with no worries, right?

  • Good price, they were going for $150.40 delivered via the ebay (Futu) 20% off sale last week.

  • 7 year warranty is good, but good luck sorting it given a US supplier.

Also check the FSPs, they are the best I've had so far, the Hydro-G models are similar to this and very efficient/quiet at this sort of money from local vendors.

EVGA is pretty easy to get warranty with, you just register the product with EVGA, apply for RMA and send it to Taiwan. I have had to do it with a GTX1070, pretty painless experience.

does "Eco Mode with New HDB Fan" mean it doesnt spin the whole time?

edit - yes it does! fan doesn't spin until it hits 20% load

    • So 130W load? That's almost guaranteed.

      • 130W at idle would be insane unless these days.

      • +1

my pc currently idles at 56W so this would be perfect. if you're idling at 130W, you might be after a little more than a 650W PSU :)

Good unit. Used in a bunch of budget builds and haven't seen any issues yet. Never skimp on the power supply, it's the one critical fail point that can toast an entire build.

  • If we place order in AUD, does that mean we dont get charged international currency fee's (as we would if we paid in USD)

    • +1

You will probably be still charged a foreign transaction fee just not an extra fee on the currency conversion.

    • +1

Depends on whether your card charges international transaction fees or not.

      • +1

This. It's not the currency that causes the fees, it's the fact that you're buying from a non-Australian based seller.

OP, just ditch your existing bank and get a credit card that doesn't charge you these fees. There's a number of them around — search OzBargain for discussions about this. I use 28 Deegrees but there are other ones which might be better for you.

        • Okay thanks, Ill look into this some more.
