Vivid Sydney is a unique annual winter event of light, music, and ideas return to illuminate Sydney from 25 May to 16 June 2018. With the Harbour City transformed into an outdoor lights sculptures exhibition, the best way to experience this amazing light festival is with a Sydney Harbour Cruises.

"Vivid Lights" Cruises are currently available discounted starting from $25 each. These will certainly shoot up when the even starts on 25th.

There are other cruise providers as well e.g. FantaSea if these do not suit your dates/timing but rates will vary. There are also some cheaper options on older boats on Groupon if you prefer that. Alternatively you can of course walk around the exhibits and harbour for free but do expect heavy crowds.

    Thanks for that, seems pretty cool perk. I've never had an Amex card (rarely used in UK) but they seem to offer quite a few perks here so might be worth finding a $0 annual fee one just for such offers.

      I'm not sure if a $0 annual fee card will qualify for entry.

      I always thought "lounge access" cards are the eligible ones for entry. Happy to be wrong though.

        There’s a T&C in relation to who can enter the lounge and it seems that the AMEX Essentials cardholders are eligible:

        1. American Express Lounge at Vivid Sydney Terms & Conditions
        Card Members must present their Eligible Card as a condition of entry.
        Eligible Cards include:
        * American Express Cards issued by American Express including Small Business, Corporate and supplementary cards;
        American Express Cards issued by licensed network partners.

        The following Cards are not eligible: Business Travel Accounts, Government Cards, Corporate Purchasing Cards, Corporate Meeting Cards, Prepaid Cards and any supplementary cards issued on these accounts.
