AEG 2 x 18V (36V) 6.0Ah 18" FUSION Lawn Mower Kit $749 with Free Bonus Blower (Worth $299) via Redemption @ Bunnings

160

Bought this mower and blower (and hedger) 9 days before this promo started. So whilst I have a few issues to overcome about missing out - I still would like to promote this as a good deal. The mower and blower are excellent. Particularly the mower which is a new design and caters for a wide range of cutting heights.

If you are looking for a battery system this may be a good deal.

I have sent them an email in case they take pity on me.

cheers

      Exactly mate. Do this!

      • Cant do this with used gear. Also AEG would be a send for diagnosis/replacement/fix rather than hand in faulty walk out with working unit….

Ohhh, i get you, return the new one in the box with our old receipt….
Thought you ment return your old one, then buy the new one…

        • lol yeap, now you got it. The old swaparooni.

    • Would the barcode on the box which is scanned identify it as different unit to the the receipt ie a mismatch?

  • I noticed you can get the 58v mower with chainsaw via. Redemption for $50 more. Which option would be the better value? Just checked and chainsaw skin is same price as blower but $699 with the two batteries.

I noticed you can get the 58v mower with chainsaw via. Redemption for $50 more. Which option would be the better value?

Which ones costs the most and which one do you have a use for? If the price difference is above $50 and you want both get the chainsaw via redemption and buy the blower separately.

    • I would go the 36v unit in this add. If you get 58v, the batteries can only be used on 4 tools. If you get this you get 2 18v batteries that can be used on all the 18v tools also so a lot more options. Also 36v is brushless where as 56v is not. And lastly with the 56v unit it is more likely for the battery to fail and then the privlce of a new 56v battery is exorbitant. I say more likely to fail as it has more cells inside and the chance of simply 1 cell dying is greater rendering the whole pack useless.

If you have a powerpass, i bought the 58v lawnmower skin for 299 (promo until sunday) and the trimmer/blower kit for 560 (5% off 599) which includes 2 58v batteries and charger.

plus if I waited I would have got the bonus chainsaw. ; (

so for 860 you can get all 4

    • Noooooooo…. I bought the mower and the combo kit for $998 on Sunday (13th) from Bunnings. Anything I can do?

      • +1

        Return it
Or buy again and return with old receipt

    • how did youget 5% off please?

      • +1

Bunnings powerpass gives you 5% of most stock items. All you need is an ABN

        • Not quite accurate :)
Discount only applies to particular brands/suppliers, for example ozito is excluded along with many other "non trade" brands or retail focussed goods

    • Are you sure the skin only I wasn’t $399? That’s what it’s showing up as now

      • +1

it's a powerpass only promo; once you scan your powerpass card at checkout it reduces from 399 to 299

Thanks on your recommendation I just grabbed the mower, blower and trimmer 58v plus the chainsaw via redemption all for $868.05 after using the powerpass savings card.
If I had bought them separately it would’ve come in at $1614
      A bargain in my book.
If you are in Melbourne southeast I could only find Mentone Bunnings for the trimmer/blower with chainsaw redemption in stock in my area. Now 5 left.

Just wanted to thank you neonlights! I too picked up the mower blower trimmer for ~870, cracker price these are great tools. FYI for others, if you want to check the price of the mower, go to the trade desk and query the price, once they scan your powerpass it will say 299 on their system.

      • And another tip, when they scanned it the discount didn’t show up straight away The lady tried saying that neon lights was wrong or giving false info. She only noticed it when the next customer complained when the items showed up on the screen with the discount applied. Lucky as we were about to leave disappointed.

    • Thank you!

  • I have this mover and it is excellent

Can't say no to a free blow

  • Awesome first post! Tips for the title: accept the suggested changes that the submission form puts in; mostly it means capitalising each non-minor word. Maybe also make it "RRP $299" to highlight that you don't actually pay for the blower.

  • Hope it's not the same chainsaw that's got a product recall?

Meh.. I wouldn't worry about a silly thing like a "recall". What could possibly go wrong with a chainsaw?

    • Just confirmed, the one with 200 on the end is V2

  • In case they don't take pity on you, I just re-registered my purchase from the 14th of May (even the my purchase was a week earlier), and a pop up to claim redemption came up straight away. I have entered my address so hopefully the chainsaw arrives and I don't cut off my fingers.

  • Wondering about getting an ABN just to get the powerpass?

Or does someone in perth wanna lend me their powerpass for a day?

    • Applying for an abn is free. From memory you get it on the same day you appply for it.
