Nice, wish that would be available when I was passing the IELTS

  • what is this for? opt to a electric certification?

    • "The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) measures the language proficiency of people who want to study or work where English is used as a language of communication. It uses a nine-band scale to clearly identify levels of proficiency, from non-user (band score 1) through to expert (band score 9)."

      • what is this deal then? go for an IELTS test?

        • Yes. It is for international students wanting to study at an Australian university, migrants, or overseas-trained professionals wanting to work in Australia.

Before you could only submit answers by using a pencil, but now you can opt for the computer-based test.

Only available at IDP Adelaide, so I guess this is only limited to Adelaide?

Ielts is a scam by scums sitting overseas.

    • I agree. It is expensive and in my case, expired after 2 years as I could not get a job in my field in that time.

…and one of the biggest revenue raisers for them!

  • revenue would have been substantially low for them to Switch to Computer based SCAM and compete with PTE

  • Probably ever since the department of immigration start accepting pte for migration purposes, PR seekers have realised getting an extra 20 points by PTE is way easier than IELTS, in fact those struggle to pass the English requirements can now actually aim to get 20 points if he/she know enough tricks to fool the computer. That's why PTE is superhot. Maybe they'll roll out this offer globally soon.
