Kmart has just released new extremely cheap stationery, possibly for Back to School sales. Many items are much cheaper than Officeworks' upcoming sales such as the 4 pack of highlighters for only $0.20.

    Some of these are small (i.e. enshitified) and Officeworks is still cheaper from what I can see, i.e. the glue sticks.

    idk what they're competing against each other for- both Officeworks and Kmart are owned by Wesfarmers. Perhaps this is a loss leader range of products? You'd think they'd factor in sales cannibalisation between the stores though…

      CEOs are still incentivised to increase revenue/profit for their respective brands rather than someone in Wesfarmers controlling all the products, pricing, etc across all their companies.

    The three pack of 35g bostik glue sticks seems like a price error compared to the anko branded ones.

    edit: the picture is wrong. shows 35g when it's actually 3x 8g mini sticks.

    The exercise books are 55gsm while the School booklist says 70gsm. Would these exercise books be good enough for being written on both sides of page with both an HB pencil and a medium pen?

    Ordered 6 different items, 5 of them were refunded - hard to believe they're not in stock.

    Ordered at 3:30pm Qld time.

    12 items totalling $8.35 across 3 orders. 8 items shipped. The other 4 items are listed as pending looking for more stock in the email. Not seeing a refund for those 4.
