needed decoy/cheapo engagement + wedding rings whilst travelling

If you stop proposing to every floosy you meet at a bar while travelling (drunk), you could save the planet from ring sizer pollution.

    • When the engagement rings are only $2, why not propose to everyone?

      • +1

And for another $2 you could find the one who will love you long time

        They call that ring sting.

I got that from using the paper in a public toilet.

        • I got that from a Vindaloo

I expect free things to arrive and as quick as if I paid for it. This is OzBargain of course, we want free shit, even if its completely useless.

    • Dane thing happened to me twice so far.

Last week I tried requesting it through the chest, hopefully it arrives this time.

Or just download and print the paper one they have a printout for on that page. How often do you need to check your ring size??

      • +3

Careful with paper printouts. Always make sure you carefully check any printed size guides with a ruler. If they don't have calibration/confirmation ruler marks then they're worthless. If they do, you need to be really careful about getting the scaling spot-on.

If your printer or software does any scaling (which some do to account for margins or non-printable areas), then you'll end up with inaccurate sizing.

If the paper size is different (e.g. the one on that page looks to be US letter), then you'll end up with really inaccurate sizing.

        • Care is always required on any DIY. You made good points.

      • +1

I wouldn't even use a paper print out to buy an onion ring. Rings are jewelry and expensive for a hunk of metal. Finger circumference does change with age and lifestyle. Just go to a jewelry shop during a quiet time and save the disappointment.

    Not working for anyone else?

    • Yep. I got the same message.

Edit: Are you using an adblocker? I disabled mine (uBlock origin), refreshed the page, then clicked the link again, and it worked fine.

  • Has anyone actually bought a ring from here before?

    • 2, Engagement then wedding a while later. Engagement delivered to Aus, no issue, had to pay import tax/fee (which i knew) and saved a few thousand compared to local purchase. Wedding ring delivered to Fedex, picked it up while travelling.

No issues with either purchase, would highly recommend.

      • How was the quality of the stone and setting/ring? Did it differ from the photos? Have been looking for a ring online but scared off by reviews of some sites saying the quality was disappointing, though I can't remedy which sites.

        • better than advertised. I spent months researching diamonds and picked the exact one. Setting was flawless, so much better than i expected.

      • Thanks for that. Taxes and duties are main concern. Are they still applying the 5% duty fee? I know GST is 10%.

  • No Iā€™d go James Allen all the way than blue mile.

    • hmmm, can you elaborate why? i'm trying to decide between the two

  • Never received mine

  • its been 2 years and nothing received
