Well it was in 2017 too
Get MacBook Pro but then again it’s out of thie league…
Thanks for deal.
Sorry, no 1080p is the deal breaker for me.Yeah me too. I am honestly shocked that an i7 with 2gb dedicated graphics doesn't have fhd! My 5 year old laptop that has a haswell i5 even has a 1080p screen. WTF
In 2005 I had a 15.4" Toshiba Tecra A4 laptop with a 1680x1050 IPS screen that looked amazing.
Then there was a dark age for nearly 10 years where no laptop manufacturer would put anything better than a 1440x900 TN screen (16:10) followed by 1366x768 (16:9)unless it costed 2.5k+ with decent specs. Apple was able to pull in all the people who wanted a decent screen over that time, including me who in 2010 moved to a second hand macbook pro because I needed a decent mid range mobile GPU and wasn't going to put up with a rubbish LCD panel.
I think the reason for this was because for average joe consumer, they wanted to see 'HD' and 'i7' even though it's a rubbish low resolution panel with significantly worse colour reproduction than the previous generation, and dual core i7s that performed about on par with later C2D chips.
It's only been in the last couple of years that average joe consumer has started to educate themselves on things like resolution numbers (not just standards with flashy names), colour reproduction, IPC ect. so manufactures have a hard time getting away with putting rubbish parts that have higher model numbers but actually worse performance.
no HD no deal when it's 900…
Why not pick this one? Less than $650 after the code.

Worldwide$630 for that is an insanely good deal. Who ever bought those after you posted got very lucky.
I hope you got one if you were in the market for a new lappy.
I got a refurb HP Pavilion Power 15 with 7700HQ, 128GB NVME SSD + 2TB 5400 HDD, 1050 4GB, 8GB DDR4 (will be upgrading to 16 as soon as RAM prices come back down) for $685 recently, but it had a tiny bit of cosmetic scratches around the kensington lock port (maybe also why it was so cheap :/ ) and was from a seller with low feedback, so I was taking a risk.
HD Display is a deal breaker in 2017
