      It’s for Export

      • He will get it from overseas.

It's an aerosol though, so it won't be easy to bring it back in.

  • Guys, Can this be used to clean rusty oven safely? oven was left very dirty by previous owner.
Thanks in advance for your info/reply

This is degreaser, not rust remover, so… ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Scouring pad or steel wool plus bakingsode and water paste.

Use oven cleaner like Mr Muscle. Follow the instructions carefully. It will do the job. Kuat sangat!

Save your money and get something half decent. The right tools and equipment make the job alot easier, you'll be there for alot longer using this trash

    • What do you recommend?

      • Kerosene works well as a degreaser. I've also got Export Degreaser 400g unused, interested to know what's wrong with it?

        • -1

2 negs lol, I know its OzBargain but its not a bargain if you have to use 10 cans to get the same work done.

I personally buy it in bulk from AS but any industrial degreaser will be 100x better than this

        • @H32017: I didn't neg you. I am still waiting for your recommendation.

        • @edfoo: Woolies homebrand oven cleaner in an aerosol can if you can still get it. I can't find oven cleaner anywhere anymore. It was $1.50 a can and worked far better than Mr Muscle etc. Best way is oven cleaner, steam. Keep it very well ventilated. Wear gloves… I never learn.

        • @tunzafun001: Can those be used to clean car engines?

        • @edfoo: Nope, well you could, but it will react with aluminium making it black, and may react with rubber etc.

  • Would you recommend this for a rangehood filter degrease? The filter is a wire mesh type thing.

It's an old one so I can't source a new filter to replace it.

    • Can't advise what to use on but cleaning power wise, this is quite decent as it gets my bike chain real clean after half a can. I use the other half to clean cassettes, chainrings and jockey wheels.

Also sprayed this on scotch towel and wiped engine bay clean with no issue.

    • You could probably put rangehood filter in the dishwasher. I do that with mine as they are aluminium mesh. Even a decent detergent based product like Nifti will move rangehood filter crud…..spray on, leave for five minutes and rinse off.

  • this is pretty good - I use it to clean my bike chain. I also noticed SCA Taringa has recently closed down :(

    • I use this to clean bike chain and all other adhesives I can't wash off with soap. Lucky I have SCA 5 mins from my place in Springfield.

    • Is it safe to use this product to clean bike chains? Wouldn't it cause the orings to swell?

      • I assume you're talking about motorbikes? I think NoobTan and I are referring to pushbikes.

        • That makes sense, thanks.

      • It'll cause the o-rings to degrade faster. Would not recommend using it. Just spray and wipe with kerosene.

      • I haven't read anything about degreaser swelling o-rings but if I was worried about it remember that you do hose off the degreaser. You could follow that up with another clean with something detergent based like Nifti.

  • Can it be used for cleaning old bbqs?
